The Patriots have handled the Broncos the past few times they've played.

However, the Rat absolutely owned New England (around 9-4*), and the Donks were 12-0* against the Pats from 84-98.

It really is "an only for the moment" type of thing between Denver and the Pats. * I just did a quick count.

Patriots fans should be happy that Denver decided to let them come out of their room at all.

Really both teams have offenses that can move the ball at will. It will be a great game if it happens and will come down to a turnover and field goal.

That's what is at stake for Peyton Manning in the next 3-4 seasons tho. Brady (and Pats fans) own the scoreboard. Seriously, they've won 5 AFC championships and 3 superbowls in the last 11 years. Manning can only claim two Championships and 1 superbowl win.

Right now Brady has a real claim to being the "best" QB of his generation. He certainly plays the most important position on the best team of his generation. This season (and whatever comes after) are immensely important for Peyton's legacy.

Was on a Patriots board on Monday just to entertain myself with their reaction to a loss. Found posts from November that were dreading the possibility then of having to come to Denver to play a playoff game, over any other team. I enjoy them not feeling comfortable.

I'm not convinced that Brady could play on any other team and have a great deal of success, or be able to be a key element in turning a team around like Peyton has. How many other "top tier" QBs could have Matt Cassell take the entire season over for them with the results that the Patriots had?

I agree, Manning knows football history and I think he's concerned about his legacy as a player. If he can hoist a few more Lombardi's and perhaps beat NE in the process, not to mention be the only FA QB that has won a SB with two different teams, I think he understands the significance of just such a career. Going out on top is probably a huge thing for Peyton.

Pats fans are the most arrogant in the NFL. I can't wait to hear them cry after Brady retires. They will be a tough out for the Broncos even if the game is in Denver. Those two big TE's scare me.

Unfortunately we are not getting to the QB consistently enough, at least enough to make a difference with Brady.

Like you said hit him hard and often, he is human, I have seen it.

He starts getting happy feet and growing eyes in the back of his head.

Interesting. The Browns fans are pretty funny, it was funny to watch them rip into the Pats fan. As for the NE vs Denver thing, they really don't know their history, even recent history. Even with MCDouche as coach we beat them with Kyle Orton at Mile High. NE makes me nervous, but I don't think they are unstoppable by any means. I'd like to see us roll all over those asshats.

Boy oh boy if we end up with the #2 seed and those guys have to come to Denver to play then it's going to be hell for them. Miller and the gang on defense have something to prove against the Patriots; it's going to be a revenge game and a statement game at the same time.

Since 2001, Denver is 6-5 against the Patriots. 1-1 in the playoffs, winning at Denver and losing at New England.
