Default 2012 Broncos How Assembled Chart

Awesome chart on how this 2012 Broncos squad was assembled. So many new players. Interesting to see it broken down like this.

Nice link -- thanks for posting.

A few observations:

1) DJ Williams is the longest-tenured player on this current team (along with Champ). Has any Broncos player been with the team longer, but been less liked by the fan base? I say no.

2) Matt Willis is tied for the 6th-longest tenure on the team. The guy just has a cockroach-like ability to survive the final roster cuts year after year (and then contribute nothing to the team in the regular season). 6 years in the league (counting 2007 with Baltimore), and he has 29 receptions for 380 yards. Meh.

3) I hate Josh McDaniels -- the 2009 Broncos draft was possibly the worst draft ever for any team in the NFL.

38 out of 52 players brought in by Elway + Elway got Champ signed

that is exec of the year type stats.

I don't see Tony Carter on the list. I guess they couldn't figure out if he would qualify for undrafted fa since the broncos picked him up or ufa since he went on to other teams prior to this season.

Good link nevertheless.

My mistake. Kept skipping over his name when I looked it over again too.

What a great draft 2006 was... Dumervil and Kuper. Not too shabby!

What really strikes me is that we have no unrestricted FAs on the roster beyond this year. Just other people's trash (sorry Peyton!

Ayers and Bruton (Special Teams) have been solid, Moreno has been a disapointment for sure. I'm not so sure the 2009 draft was as bad as you say it is, especially when compared to some of Shanny's drafts.

Last 2 seasons have been massive improvement. Fox, Elway and all have made this team what it is today. Amazing.

I'm sure plenty of teams have had a worse draft than we did in 2009....Moreno is our starting running back and playing well, Ayers is a solid contributor on defense and Bruton is great on special teams and plays some defense. Def not a good draft, but not as bad as you say

The 2009 draft wasn't pretty, but the 2010 draft is turning out pretty good so far.

Looking at who we have left on the team from the 2007-2009 drafts is just sad.

Elway and co have done an amazing job the past couple seasons
