Default The Draft Class - 2012

The draft class

DT Derek Wolfe — Wolfe and defensive end Elvis Dumervil continue to lead the way up front in terms of play time on the defense. Wolfe played 42 of 51 defensive snaps in Oakland. He gave way to Robert Ayers in a selection of longer down-and-distance situations, but continues to be a versatile player at the power end — left defensive end — much of the time. Wolfe also added one snap of special teams play against the Raiders.

QB Brock Osweiler — For a time it looked like Osweiler may get some playing late in Oakland as the Broncos offense repeatedly moved the ball up and down the field. However the Broncos offense also finished four of those scoring drives with field goals instead of touchdowns, so Denver's last possession of the game became one of keep-away rather than an opportunity for the rookie to get a few snaps. He has played four snaps for the season, three of those coming in the Sunday night win over the Saints.

RB Ronnie Hillman — Hillman got 15 snaps on offense, usually in a three-wide receiver set, but also watched Knowshon Moreno carry the ball a career-most 32 times in the game. Hillman did flash some change-of-pace-skills on his four carries, which he took for 24 yards, including a 12-yard run. If Hillman continues to show the decisiveness he had Thursday night against the Raiders, however, he should have some more opportunities in the offense.

One good point was that Hillman is a serviceable backup, to Moreno...
