Just watched his editorial on how we won World War Two..

It mostly dealt with the bombing of Japan, as well as Europe..

I highly recommend this for our progressive/liberal/democrat/lefty/commie members..

It should give you some great talking points..

Bring all the troops home from Afghanistan is the best way of ending it. I re-watched part of Rambo III for the first time since our own war began. I knew it wasn't a critically acclaimed movie, but the subject matter is a little more interesting and ironic today. For example, Colonel Trautman warned a Russian leader, "If you'd studied your history, you'd know that these people have never given up to anyone. They'd rather die than be slaves to an invading army. You can't defeat a people like that. We tried; we already had our Vietnam! Now you're gonna have yours."

You certainly can't win like Obama fought it. A 30 thousand troop surge, no close air support, with a withdraw date set before fighting over.

So yes i agree just get out.

Another good movie was Charlie Wilson's War, you would think that after watching the Soviets get pounded in their war in Afghanistan that we would be smart enough not to engage Afghanistan in a ground war.

Afghanistan is lost Spider. Once Obama made the withdraw date it was over with. Name one other war in history ever won with the date for ending set before enemy was defeated. The whole notion of that runs counter to the art of war which Obama must not have read.

AfPak has always been a disaster. Anyone who thinks that Western intervention in the Middle East (and surrounding areas) is ever going to be a winnable battle is stupid. A lot of nations (now including us) are finding that out the hard way.

Alexander conquered Afghanistan. But that's because he married the daughter of the most powerful warlord in the country, becoming a member of his family, who then joined Alexander's army and helped eradicate his opponents. Even so, what Alexander really did is just leave the country in the control of that warlord, in his name. I don't see Obama marrying Mullah Omar's daughter anytime soon.

Cut raises the question: what are we doing in Afghanistan. Simple. It had and has nothing to do with Al aeda.

We occupied Afghanistan to take control of the most profitable business on the planet - the global heroin trade.

That's why this has been the longest "war" in US history.
