If the season ended today, we'd be hosting the Colts in the Wildcard round of the playoffs. Considering the Patriots hold the tiebreaker and Ben will probably take a week or so to round into form, this is a pretty likely possibility come January.
What's your thoughts on a tough, up-and-coming team with an emotional backstory, not to mention the additional Manning/Luck generational storyline that would be sure to come hand in hand with the game? |

Luck still isn't playing like a top flight QB. Running game isn't great and that is a need to stop Peyton. Their OL isn't great. Wayne is basically their only true weapon and he would go against Champ.
Manning would put on a clinic and show Luck how it's done. |

Don't like it at all. Out of all the teams, I think I want to face the Colts only behind the Patriots. It's not because I think they are better than us, they are not. This game would mean so much to Peyton it might be too much for it to be a win or go home game.

Makes for a great story. If we don't get a first-round bye, this means we make it to the divisional round after we sign Edgerrin James for another shot at glory.

If the Broncos must play a 1st round game, might as well be the Colts in Mile High. We haven't beaten them yet this year.
It's crazy that those guys are this good already, after being the worst team in the NFL last year, and losing a bunch of good players in the offseason. |

Still beat down. Manning is better than Luck will ever be, and Luck is surrounded by less talent.

Peyton is a little shaky in the playoffs, just debbie-downering here. He thinks he can read everything the playoff D's are doing, but that hasn't worked out all that well like the way he read them in the reg season.

I really feel the key to beating Luck is to take him seriously. He's a rookie, but a damn good one. Treat him like a good QB and you can beat him.

Luck is a rookie, the Colts had two wins last year. Peyton would shred their D, and our D would turn that horseshoe upside down. If we don't get a first round bye, please, please, please give us the Colts.

On any given sunday....and keep in mind overconfidence played a major role in our getting beat by the 2nd year of expansion Jags in '96....
Having said that, I think Manning would want to prove the Colt that he's not washed up (if he hadn't already) and would have this team very focused come post season. |

Considering what the secondary market will be like for tickets, I'd love this matchup.
Plus we'd win. |

I'm not going to lie, I would love this. I think we'd kill these guys. Not only do they kind of suck--the Pats got that storyline out of the way--but do you think there's any way in hell that Peyton would lose to the Colts? To the Colts with a bad defense at that? I'd be prepared for anything in this game, he could throw for 8 TDs and I wouldn't be surprised. Reggie Wayne could slip into our locker room at halftime and come out of the tunnel wearing orange, it's all in play.

The Colts were not and are still not built to win from behind. Get up 7 or 10 points and they'll get crushed like they did by the Pats.
Luck has been great this year, for any QB, much less a rookie. But offensively, I give us the edge. Defensively, I say we have a great edge. Coaching, a big edge. Little chance they'd beat us. |

Kind of a weird reverse happening. I used to dread facing the Colts in the playoffs. Now, I look forward to it.
