There is always going to be a go to guy in a critical situation.
Someone will stand out. I had typed all of the above but deleted it because everyone would have chosen that one. Who's gonna take the place of McGahee? Last edited by baja; 11-24-2012 at 11:51 PM.. |

Well, if you put it that way, the guy who will be in on most of the downs that would otherwise have gone to McGahee will be his backup, and that is Lance Ball.
I expect they'll move up Moreno (if he's healthy) into Ball's backup spot and Hillman will keep the same role he's had - though they may go to those formations just a bit more often. |

I selected Moreno but with no confidence whatsoever.

This Who player they are bringing in sounds intriguing. Having trouble finding his stats.

Ultimately, I'd love to see Knowshon Moreno play pissed off with something to prove and take over the role as the lead back.
I'm not very confident that it will happen, but I think he represents the best chance to fill the void left behind by Willis McGahee in the most complete way. I think Knowshon realizes this may be his last chance to go out and prove himself. I'd love to see him fulfill his potential and really help Denver down the stretch run. I'm a huge Hillman supporter, and am on record as being a Moreno detractor.
That being said, I have this strange feeling that Moreno will have a few big games in December.... |

Moreno is awful. Never sees the hole, doesn't know how to follow blocks, doesn't fight through tackles, and doesn't have the speed to make up for any of it.
Hillman will be the guy. |

Moreno has accounted for at least three first downs -- so far.
That's awful? |

Well, I was dead wrong in that prediction.
Of course, we still have a way to go in the regular season. |
