I would think they made a judgement call saying he already had completed the pass before crossing the line. He only had one hand on it and looked to me like it could've been still making a football move.

If you're honestly complaining that, last week ,we didnt play well enough, in a road game, when we won by 22, and then beat SD in a game they were never really in...we have kings problems.

I agree. Not a dominating performance, especially at home, and especially with the awesome play of the D in the first half (and then some)
Should have been more like the NE/Colts score. Keep gellin' boys. Keep on keepin' on. Enough games left to get it together. We ARE being a bit picky. But I see the fan base has set its sights higher than just making it to the playoffs |

Anybody else notice that the stadium was half empty for the last two minutes? What's going on, Broncos fans?

But do you think Manning would let laziness seep into this offense? He was on the sideline up 30-16 with 4 minutes left barking at the Oline. I think those kinds of bad habits would get squashed.

Doesn't the NFL catch rule apply to all catches, not just catches made in the endzone? Possession and control of the ball all the way down to the turf. I think I have seen this rule used in non-td situations.

I hope you guys realize, that San Diego pretty much had the same defensive rankings as us coming into the game, outside of them forcing more turnovers.
San Diego's defense is good... not to say that the offensive performance was acceptable or we didn't make a **** ton of mistakes. |

What if it happens at the 10 yard line instead of the goaline? Would they consider it a catch then ground causing fumble? They would if they thought he had made the catch already.

I didn't think the offense was in sync at all. Especially on the outside.....Thomas/Decker. Sure they each had a TD...but, how many catches?? Lot's of misses on throws to those two guys.

Not many style points but I think it's pretty ridiculous to fret over the game. I'm fretting over Wolfe and McGahee more than I am over the fact that this wasn't a blow out. The D was great most of the game, and they were great when it mattered.

I don't see this as a situation of judgement. The NFL needs to be clear on its rules. 1.)What is the rule on a catch being considered a catch? 2.)Does this rule apply to all catches, td catches, and other catches? 3.)If the rule applies to all catches, then does this rule take priority over crossing the plain of the goalline situations? These are not difficult questions to comprehend and answer. But it is difficult getting clear answers.

I expected this game to be a battle. Hell, the Chargers know this game represents their season. Hats off to the Broncos D. Woodyard is getting better every week. Still too many dropped passes and fumbles. Koppen got bulldozed a few times. Champ is losing a step. Face it. Still, all and all, this was a tough game. A difficult win like this will serve the Broncos well. Time to go into Narrowhead and have a Stomp Party!
