Just saw that but not sure Broncos have room for him. Here's an interesting read on the situation.

He's a strong side DE.. He doesn't play the same position. We have Wolfe, Ayers, and Jackson all with the skill set for the strong side

Part of me wants Denver to put a claim on him to stop NE from getting him. I don't know where he fits though. Doom shouldn't miss much time and Ayers is playing lights out. One thing is Ayers is a FA next year while Edwards is under contract. With how Ayers is playing him might be hard to resign next year as a backup/role player.

But cap implications, age, scheme fit for the future of current players, impending free agents, so many things have to be factored. |

Bring him in, why not? He can provide good depth and he's good against the run. He's a traditional 4-3 DE who can force plays inside and this helps our LBers.
Do the Broncos really need another pass rusher? Um, no. Not really. Nope. But they can always used depth on the defensive line. |

Not an area of need, IMO. I think bringing DJ back into the fold will be like a trade of sorts with an influx of speed to provide support for the current guys. Where can we honestly improve on defense at this time?
Of course, i also said the addition of Holliday made no sense, so.... |

They can all play inside on passing downs...so not sure why you are questioning the scheme fit and positioning of our players.. |

I like Edwards a lot. He always got good penetration with Minnesota. He blew up a lot of reverses and sweeps, things like that.
I think there is no room for him on this roster and I would imagine he'll be claimed by a team with a worse record. I would think so anyway. |

if someone dropped a big ole turd on the side of the road and you needed an extra turd, would you take it just because it's a turd?

he could quite possibly retire and move over to boxing, he was apparently very good in his limited time with the sport, convincing a lot of boxing guys he had the stuff to make serious waves as a heavyweight.
