The sources your BF mentioned above all have major credibility problems - thanks to their histories of lying, conning, and generally getting things wrong over time. Eventually people stop listening to them. Well....people whose IQs are greater than their shoe sizes, anyway. |

Say you make $50,000/yr -- pretty decent in a lot of places Then you have a major medical issue that costs $1,000,000. By your "logic" above it should be easier to be out of debt because of the huge sum of loss. The fact is the number of jobs has grown by a decent amount under Obama (the only growth at all since Clinton, Bush ended his term with a net loss)-- it just so happens that the damage done by previous administration was even bigger. Try again bud. Last edited by Fedaykin; 11-03-2012 at 03:32 AM.. |

Except that it isn't. Fed government does not directly create jobs, but they can create a climate where job creation is possible. Of course they, as Obama has shown, can also create a climate were job creation is nearly impossible. They over spend, over tax, over regulate, practice crony capitalism, make threats and then act surprised on why there is fear and risk avoidance in the private sector. ![]() You're a clueless oaf. If Obama's administration created "a climate where job creation is nearly impossible" while creating private sector jobs for 30+ months, what kind of climate did Bush create when we were hemorrhaging jobs at a rate of hundreds of thousands per month? Talk about "spin"... |

And you are a mindless automaton if you believe that this is a healthy economy. It is funny in 2003/2004 unemployment improved from 6.2% to 5.6% and every article was about Bush's jobless recovery. Now unemployment is stagnant around 8% (over 10% if you include people who have stopped looking for work) and you claim Obama is some great job creator. Comparing Obama's job creation to most other periods in history shows a lack of basic understanding of economics. Not understanding the significance of the STATED POLICY of the Republican congress shows a complete lack of intelligence with regard to politics. Not factoring in that the economic climate he stepped into was created by the policies of his predecessor simply shows ignorance or stupidity. Take your pick, but I wouldn't be proud of either one... |

so now liberals want to say that the President not responsible for creating jobs because conservatives say the public sector should create them. What a joke, give the public sector a chance and they will. Grind them into the ground with red tape and tax and they won't. One guess which theory Obama is using! |

So "Bush lost job", but Obama is a victim of circumstance? The liberal "logic" on display.

Obama in 2008: "I'll create millions of new jobs. We'll have unemployment at 5%"
Obama in 2012: "It's not my fault. We need to keep doing the things that didn't work the last four years and make class sizes smaller...or something..." |

The picture of four more years of Obama's incrementalism may not be very attractive, but the idea of following Romney back to the Bush economic policies is suicide. The American people need to do some growing up. And this partisan hackery isn't doing anybody any favors. |
