Don't worry about it, I got a load of crap last year when I said a guy at the flea-market told me that the Broncos where going to sign Peyton Manning.

Maybe a mod should change the thread title so fwf doesn't get cyber keelhauled.

Context. Context.

The only way he's seeing $4.75 mil next year is if he performs well the remainder of the year with a decent number of carries. Let's use the example being floated, which is around his recent averages:

1,000-1,100 combined rushing and receiving yards, 7+ TDs

I'd have no problem at all bringing him back for another year at that figure if those are his numbers at the end of this one.

Running at near 30 is a lot different than running at 25. He's already hit his ceiling.

While i equally am skeptical about the OP and his sources.....if a trade is agreed upon the panthers would be smart to just sit on it until close to the deadline in case someone else ups the anty.........so might not be totally dead yet IF there was something to begin with.

If that was the case don't you think Carolina would be reporting they are close to trading him to make some team panic and up the ante? There is really nothing but silence on this other than the OP who to this point is just a forum borderline troll.

Plenty of Rbs have had career years at or near 30. And he only has 1000 NFL carries on his legs. That's next to nothing in terms of mileage.

I don't expect much out of McGahee next year. Great guy just getting too old. This deal frees up the need for another RB early come draft time. That doesn't mean Hillman doesn't have a future role with the team either.

who said he'd be a back up next year?

can you assure me willis will not be injured this season? running backs get hurt. Willis was out last year.

insurance. do you have it on your car? house? yourself?

the ONLY thing we lose next year is a draft pick. and who is to say its not a player for player swap.

Just chill people. Its happening. Go buy some dread locks from Party City. Theyre probably on sale today.

Look, if it doesnt happen, I'll go out side in the 30 degree weather and take a dive into the river next to my house. Ill record it and post it here for all to see. I deserve that for the thread title...BUT, its going down.

So whats up FWF?

Did we do it? What did we give up? Did we restructure his deal? These are the things we would like to know.

3. overhyped? The guy had a single season with over 1600 yds and 20 TDs. Shonne Greene is 3 and a half years into his career and still doesn't have that many TDs total.

Here's 30 I'd rather have:

Arian Foster
Ray Rice
Adrian Peterson
LeSean McCoy
Jamaal Charles
Ryan Mathews
Marshawn Lynch
Matt Forte
Trent Richardson
Alfred Morris
Stevan Ridley
Doug Martin
Frank Gore
Darren McFadden
Fred Jackson
Willis McGahee
Rashad Jennings
Ahmad Bradshaw
Chris Johnson
Darren Sproles
C.J. Spiller
Michael Turner
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
Reggie Bush
Jonathan Stewart
Steven Jackson
Maurice Jones-Drew
Rashard Mendenhall
Ben Tate
DeMarco Murray

I put Dwill in the range of Shonn Greene, Daryl Richardson, Pierre Thomas, Michael Bush, LeShoure, Dwyer, and Kendall Hunter.

I am catching up on Game of Thrones season 2.

Lets just say a strategically placed bucket, a rat, and a heat source would be more fitting.

We get it. You think he's going to explode coming here in Denver.

I'm for the trade because Willis gets gassed out there and Williams would sub quite nicely. But, to expect these huge numbers from him. Nope

You know, if Denver wanted a complete back so bad Doug Martin was sitting right there for the taking.

Hopeful this will happen... Puts Ball on the bench where he belongs and gives Hillman a similar style to model his game after. A lot of McGahees nice runs he does on his own, but some of them leave yardage on the field. I think Williams has the potential to break those into long TDs!!!

saw on rotoworld.....

"Per the Associated Press, DeAngelo Williams is not expected to be traded before Thursday's 4pm ET deadline.
With the deadline just five hours away, there's reportedly "nothing shaking" in Carolina. Of course, a lot can happen in the 11th hour as teams submit their final offers. ProFootballTalk has already reported that the Panthers are willing to take the cap hit that would come with trading Williams. Stay tuned. "

I can confirm that I heard on a fishing boat talking to Shanahan that the KC chiefs suck.
