for how "great" Sam Presti is he has made some pretty bizarre and dumb moves last few seasons that may cost them a title until Lebron retires

The whole NBA is going away from big centers is certainly a debate for the Cavs and the number one pick.

that's not really true though. it's not that they're going away from them. they just really don't exist in as a robust a form as previously.
most big men now are either horrible skilled or are trying to be so sleek and point forward like that it's hard to find them.

it's easier to get a 6-10 230 lb guy and stick him at C than it is to find a 7-0 270 lb guy who isn't just a slow footed lumbering unskilled roster spot taking pile of crap.
too many bigs have fallen in love with being a stretch 4 or just don't become fundamentally sound due to being able to physically dominate their opponents until they reach college or certain levels in HS.

Dwight Howard is probably the best C in the NBA and his offensive skill set is horrendous. LeBron has a better post game.

i'd still take Alex Len #1 though if i was the Cavs. they need a C and Noel is gonna struggle on offense. he'll be wicked on D and rebound but he won't be a complete C and i'd rather have a more fluid offensive player at #1.

its certainly not as prevalent, but when you have a dominant big man, you WILL be a force.

If Hibbert keeps up what he did last year and Dwight pulls his head out the Pacers and Lakers are going to be dominant teams and be tough to beat.

Cavs offered, Waiters, TT, and the first pick for Love and it was turned down also the the Cavs offered the 1st and the 19th pick for LaMarcus Aldridge and that was rejected.

Waiters and TT are pretty darn good young players.

If Love came to Cavs him with Irving is a pretty sellable plate for Lebron.

No way will Love stay when his contract is over. The T'Wolves probably shouldn't dismiss this so lightly.

Don't you say that! I like TT. He is a double double machine and who takes over for SG when Waiters is gone who just was voted all rookie team? CJ Miles? 3 possible starters for one guy seems like a lot IMO.

You get a 22 year old PF that averages 11 and 10, a 21 year old SG that was just named to the all rookie team. Then they would have two top ten picks. It seems like they would get a good young team out of this trade for a guy that won't stay.

kinda shocked in the portland one... i guess the #1 pick is really devalued this year (not shocked but still)

i think Saunders will structure the roster where they will compete and Love will stay.
Kahn was a ****ing moron. all he did was draft PG's, sign PG's and take players that didn't fit or they didn't need.
Love and Rubio are the only good draft decisions he made.

Man how little value do draft picks have in the NBA?

Also, I do think Dwight Howard is a tad overrated due to his offensive game being incredibly horrendous like someone else mentioned.
He's a great player, but his offense is very meh.

Oden's agent, Mike Conley, told FOX Sports Florida by phone Friday that the free-agent center remains very interested in signing with the Heat this summer and the feeling is mutual. Conley expects to talk with Heat president Pat Riley when free agency begins July 1 about the 7-foot Oden, the 2007 No. 1 draft pick who hasn't played in the NBA since December 2009 due to knee problems.

I think the Birdman walks and his $ will go to Oden.

it's a down year for the draft. second straight year that there was no "OMG he's the next hall of fame great player."
next year with Wiggins,Parker and others in the fold it will be a frenzy.
then the picks will be like gold. especially as teams get more familiar with the CBA and it's costs.

Cavs pick Bennett. I read that Brown wanted him really bad.

Can Bennett play SF in the NBA or do the Cavs have something in the works that will move TT?

Bennett shoots the 3 very well, can play the 3.

Also, TT and Bennett played in HS together.
