I don't think he hated them, he always wore an Orange Tie on the sidelines.

I think it was more about money and distancing himself from previous ownership.

And Ray Crocket kept falling down.

I loved Ray's play, he was one of our top 5 CB's ever but he said he had Hammy issues all day and it was wet if I remember.

I'm almost certain I read an article back at the time of the switch, and it was a marketing issue only.

Sales were down and after researching, they felt the "average" fan didn't want to wear orange on a daily basis, so they switched the color to blue. ( and of course changed the logo).

What they missed was that winning helped sales, not wholesale changes in uniform/logo. I have no doubt sales would have jumped just as much had we won those SuperBowls in the old unis.

I know. Can't believe they don't bust them out more. Maybe if we get enough fan support they will. Isn't that a big reason they switched to the orange this year?

unless they are wearing the dark blue helmet and the dark "burnt orange" almost red jerseys from the orange crush days. dont bother with orange jerseys. back in the day we never wore orange.

I disagree, I think an all blue set up for the throwback would be nice to see. But my favorite is the Red/Orange uniforms of the early 70's is my favorite.
