Throwbacks? - The Orange Mane

So I noticed last week a lot of teams went with their throwbacks, also I saw this article on Yahoo about the Steeler's planning to go out there on Sunday and look like idiots. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-sh...0744--nfl.html. Now I absolutely do not want Denver wearing their 1960's throwbacks and looking like the s&#$ covered Steeler's jerseys. What I would like to see, and I think it could be possible with Elway at the controls, is the 1990's throwbacks. Been WAY to long since we've actually played a game in those and I think a Sunday night game is a good stage to do it. Has anyone heard anything at all about it? Didn't see any other threads regarding it, I know they usually pop up a few times here and there throughout the season.

I really don't care what jerseys they wear. I enjoy them all. I just want them to win in whatever jersey they are wearing.

the blue pants and the poop and pee Wyoming colors should never be worn again

the broncos have to announce their uniform choices prior to the season. This year the broncos decided to wear orange for every home game.

new orange.....the NFL does not allow 'surprises' during the season when it comes to the uniform.

lol, i seem to remember Shanny pulling a surprise years ago in a road game to San Diego. They weren't to happy.

I am surprised the don't wear the '70-90's orange more, just from the fact that they would generate some replica sales.

yeah...the broncos brought the 'wrong' uniforms so the NFL made the broncos wear white at home....2003 or 2004

Anyone else think that its lame that the league tells teams what uniforms they can and can not wear? Teams should be able to wear whatever uniforms they want to...why does it even matter?

They will be wearing Blue for the Charger game.

Last Time they wore the old skool Denver D helmet was on Thanksgiving, a few years back, no?

Ya, I know it's been years since we've seen the old Denver D logo. Wouldn't mind seeing it again. Would be a good year this year to do it with the change to orange as the primary. To bad that apparently they're locked in. I thought they only needed to give the NFL a weeks notice to approve of both teams uniforms.

Didn't Bowlen hate those orange uniforms? I always thought that was part of the reason to the switch to blue.

While looking for the confirmation of the thread topic, I discovered that game has been protected from flex scheduling. I just thought that to be interesting...

Would love to see Broncos use the 70's - 90's Orange jerseys with the D helmets.

Ran across this highlight reel of the Defense from that era. Big hits from Atwater, Dennis Smith, Mecklenburg. Couldn't imagine the fines they would get today. Dennis Smith used his helmet as a weapon.

I think Fox and CBS were given a deadline (recent) to protect certain games from being flexed.

Yes, it was 2001 against Dallas. Ryan Leaf's comeback fell short. We were up 26-3 and they came back to get it to 26-24.

Rod had 2 bad ankles and we had crap receivers out there besides him. Mike Anderson had a decent day.
