That is what I was wondering, when did this happen? I still think the collapse had more to do with Phyllis Rivers wetting himself after the first hint of contact from the D. But would like to know when this was caught.

The officials became suspicious when the Chargers kicker attempted a field goal and the ball stuck to his foot.

It gets funnier. The Chargers have the least amount of drops this year. I saw that statistic somewhere.

IF this was orchestrated (and known) by the team the way the other two were, I'd consider this worse. With the other two, there might have been some small advantage but the players still had to play the game. This is on the same level as team-wide steroid use or something in my book. This is cheating on the field where the others couldn't have the same impact.

Even down 24 it is difficult to say that at any time San Diego was taking it to Denver. It really isn't the collapse it is being made out to be. Last edited by BroncoMan4ever; 10-21-2012 at 10:58 PM.. |

I think the loss of 2013, 2014, 2015 1st rounders should cover it.

wow they could lose a draft pick if an equipment guy was helping. If players did it on their own I would say no draft pick forfieted, but maybe if some of the chargers staff knew about it.

It won't happen though. Spanos is too gutless to make such a bold move. If he was, he would have fired him last Tuesday. |

Adopt-a-Bronco: wth happened |
I remember almost 40 years ago in Pop Warner an assistant coach spraying our hands with some stickem. I didnt know why, because I barely got the ball being fullback and playing defensive end. I know the first time I hit the ground I had grass & dirt caked on my hands and I couldnt get it off. I remember thinking wtf. I'm sure the Chargers had stickem and ez-off too..

This is interesting, Norv just had a press conference and basically said Jay Glazer is full of crap.
Who's right in this? He seems pretty adamant that this is a lot of nothing?: http://blog.chargers.com/2012/10/22/...cky-substance/ |

Have to wonder why they are investigating a towel. What do the refs have to say about it? Wasn't the story that they confiscated something during the game?

Turns out it was a Magic 8all rolled up in the towel that Norv used to call plays with. Nothing to see here.

“Cheater is a big word,” Phillips said. “I’ve seen a lot of cheating in the NFL. I don’t know that you could consider the use of Stickum to be cheating. But it always sucks because you never want to be cast as a cheater. All you have to do is keep playing and doing what you’re doing. Let people say what they have to say and take care of your own business.” - Shaun Phillips
That doesn't sound like denial to me. |

PFF said earlier the chargers have the lowest drop rate in the NFL. not evidence by any means, but a "Hmmmmm" moment.
