Default Ravens Ray Lewis and Webb done for the year?

http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap10000000800...ut-for-season/

Not sure of the status of Nata but that game is looking more winnable. They haven't played all that great the past couple of week either. Thoughts?

Actually, I wasn't too worried about Ray Lewis. I was actually worried that our defense was going to make Joe Flacco look like an MVP...

With all these good teams in need of a MLB I don't see DJ hitting the open market

In a 3-4 he would be a MLB. If they offered on 3rd i would do it. I doubt he's here next year...mind well get something for him.

The Ravens.

They would have to be pretty desperate to do something like that. They would get him for what 6 games with no knowledge of the system. That extra three games made him impossible to trade IMO.

DJ isn't a MLB in any scheme. he just can't make the calls.
very good OLB who is badly needed back on this D though.

Well to be honest he's not really much of an OLB or MLB....but he's better than nothing I guess.

Flacco has been looking good this year. Almost seems like he has taken the next step in development

I've been more worried about their offense than their defense.

Was just thinking they are already struggling on D. With their top CB out and the heart and soul going down and not looking all that great the past couple of weeks. That game looks much more winable than we thought. Most including myself were marking that one down in the loss column.

Ravens have given up over 200 yards rushing in consecutive weeks....while we might not get to 200, I'm sure we'll be able to run the ball effectively enough to make play action work pretty well for PFM.

I like our chances, unless we put them in 3rd and long all day, then we might get spanked.

Yeah. Our only hope is to keep them to 3rd and short. Otherwise we'll be giving up chunks of yards.

Amen brother. If we ever get them in 3rd and 20+ we might as well line up with our goal line package.

Looks like ILB's will be at a premium in 2013. The Broncos would be lucky to get a real playmaker at MLB before Manning retires.

I only caught part of it, but on SC this morning they were talking about Haloti Ngata being hurt as well

AFC is not that strong this year
If we could pull our heads out of our butts and play some defense we could possibly make some noise late in the year

Technically, there is no MLB in a 3-4.

I'd never wish injury on anyone.

That said, any defense without Ray Lewis is not as good as a defense WITH Ray Lewis.

The Broncos are SO overdue to beat the Ravens, it's sickening.

Bill Barnwell on Grantland points out some facts that make this game seem more winnable the previously thought:
********************
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...st-week-6-news
Look at Baltimore's five wins. There's the blowout victory over the Bengals in Week 1, a truly impressive performance, followed by the narrow win over the Patriots in Week 3. After that, Baltimore's beaten the Browns by a touchdown, the Chiefs in a 9-6 affront to modern football, and the Cowboys by two points in a game they nearly threw away. (More on that later.) After his hot start against the Bengals, Joe Flacco has completed exactly 60 percent of his passes and thrown six touchdowns against four picks.

*************
That was BEFORE Ngata, Webb and Lewis got hurt.

Confirmed torn tricep for Ray Lewis. Talk was he was saying he would retire once his son started playing college ball, which I believe he will next season at Miami. Could be curtains for Lewis' career then.

Ngata has an MCL sprain. Those are actually pretty easy to come back from. A few weeks out if its bad. A game if it's mild.
