Unions made the middle class strong and the youngins have forgot who got them their work rules and vacations and holidays and fair and safe working conditions.
Unions were supported by democrats. Democrats got you Medicare and Social Security and have protected it ever since. Republicans have have NEVER EVER WANTED any of these programs and it has CAME TO THE SURFACE WITH ROMNEY AND RYAN like never before. You would have to be blind not to see their disdain for those programs. Democrats are the only thing standing in the republicans way of getting rid of programs the poor and middle class have depended on for decades. Republicans never wanted these programs and its in your face right now for all to see. Do you have eyes and ears ? Do you have parents ? Republicans will use their pissing away of money in two stupid wars and tax cuts for the rich as an excuse to get rid of programs they haven't wanted since the beginning and at the same time giving another huge tax cut for the rich. No level playing field. Take from the poor and the middle and our parents to give to the rich for something that hasn't worked the past decade we have these stupid tax breaks for the rich. Americans are forgetting their heritage and thier history, esp recent history..............WAKE THE FREK UP ! |

Obamacare will cut funding to Medicare, but I know that ruins the liberal narrative.

BS. There is already insurance companies dropping people and more expected. Not to mention the shortage of doctors, which will get worse as well. So cuts are cuts regardless of your silly technicalities.

Democrats also created and expanded Jim Crow and other racist platforms, but I don't see you trying to take credit for that. ![]() and btw...the reforms that allowed Unions and other employment practices were championed by Republicans. Many people, but if you're looking for one person to give credit to, then Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican is your man. Of course that was over 100 years ago. All Unions do now is increase the cost of ownership, do not affect the wide changes you're refering to(because again, that was almost 100 years ago), and generally whine and complain for having to perform work. Toodles, |

Romney's plan is not to cut funding to medicare, but to manage it differently. Benefits are going to be cut and I don't care who you vote for. So if that's your angle, pick something you can actual sell. The problem with medicare is the it hasn't been managed in a long time and it's organized based on data that no longer applies. People are living longer and need it longer. People get it that can easily afford other means. MEdicare is a problem consuming a large portion of our budget. We can do better.

Yeah. Non-union jobs are run like nazis. BTW Nazi's were the national socialist party. They had the government take control of everything. Unions are full of union stooges and liberals want to make all people gay welfare dependent and give them aids so they can go on medicare, not work and collect disability and steal money from the rich.
Yeah, this game is stupid. |

yOUR NOT GOING TO GUT mEDICARE AND sOCIAL SECURITY because your party broke the bank with stupid wars and tax breaks for the rich which I know you also like. Your party has never liked nor supported these policies that poor and middle class depend on and YOUR NOT USING A FINANCIAL CRISIS that your party created as an excuse to get rid of them. Not gonna happen. So your saying we should double down on tax cuts for the rich on one hand and on the other gut medicare and ss for the poor and middle class ? IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ? IF SO I got a word for people like that ! |

Republican Party: 138–34 (80–20%)
Cloture in the Senate:[17]
Democratic Party: 44–23 (66–34%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)
The Senate version:[16]
Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)
The Senate version, voted on by the House:[16]
Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)

Obama thinks we all should redistribute our wealth and make it "fair" for others, yet Obama won't lift a finger to help his own family in Africa who are living in poverty when he has the opportunity and wealth to do so. Interesting.

You really need to pick-up a history book. I understand that your poor study habits and inability to properly-prior-plan as a youngster led you to a poor education. You didn't take advantage of your opportunities. It's never too late, Meckjack.

These are all lies. No one will gut or can cut social security or medicare. Get a grip. They do need to be reorganized because the current model for both is doomed. We have to re-evaluate how we run them. They're founded on data that is no longer valid. Tax cuts for the rich? That's not possible. Tax cuts for business? That's possible. That will give business owners the ability to make better business assumptions and actually grow their businesses so MORE people pay into the tax pool. More people paying into the tax pool means more revenue. Do the math. But only after you've studied your history. |
