Yea it's crazy. I didn't know this till recently that if you are "low income" they will provide a cell phone and mins. for you. It's insane.

It's like how some people are pushing to make internet access free to low income people.
We are really getting rights and privileges confused.

This is always how it turns out when they find some ridiculous law to point out.

What you'll notice though, is they don't care Bush signed it into effect. Conservatives believe the problem is Obama hasn't fixed everything, they have no problem with who actually made it crappy.

You would think the GOP sprung up 3 years ago with no memory or responsibility to the past.

I saw this yesterday and was a little shocked by the reference it was from Obama. Lifeline has been available since the late 80's by telephone companies at that time until it was made federal by Republicans.

The idea of free phone service for low income families was introduced during the Great Depression. It was made policy by the Reagan administration. It was made to apply to cell phones by the Bush 2 administration.
