Default Relax we just played the 2 best teams ....

In the NFL as evidenced by the falcons going to sunny Diego and smacking them around ALL game. There was no 4th quarter rally by the chargers against Atlanta and the chargers were at home. Houston is exactly what everyone expected them to be... The most balance team in the league. Our team certainly has its deficiencies particularly at safety center and right guard but we will get better and more cohesive offensively. I've never seen Manning make so many plays while being forced off of his spot ( which he rarely was in Indy)....Thomas and decker really need to work with a jugss machine. Today's performance was unacceptable for our 2 starting WRs...

Exactly, we're doing just fine to lose to the two best teams in the league by a combined 12 points

I still think that if the O can get in sync, this can be a very dangerous team. The clock is ticking though.

Either Baltimore or New England will be joining us and Pittsburgh at 1-2. Outside the most optimistic here who thought we'd go 13-3 or 12-4, I think most people were guessing about 3-3 at the bye. And that's still well in range, if we play 4 quarters against Oakland and San Diego. If we enter the bye at 2-4 or worse, then I'll worry the season might be slipping away. Division games: can't overemphasis how important they'll be.

Best two teams in the league are currently playing each other. Houston and Atlanta are contenders sure but not the very best.

Need to open up the play calling before we get down by multiple scores. D needs to get off the field on third down and stop giving up big plays. Wish we would have tried getting Hillman in space a little more.

Houston gets to play Green bay, New England, and Baltimore this year. So we'll see what they're made of.

Sorry, these games feel way too much like when Tebow was at the helm. I want 4 quarters of competitive football. Until the team can provide that, I'll roll my eyes at optimism. I was once intrigued by the potential of the team. Now I'm nervously hoping Oakland doesn't blow Denver out of the water.

We were a playoff team last year, two wins from the Super Bowl.

So why is it okay to take solace in moral victories? Shouldn't we be expecting more than playing good enough to lose by a touchdown?

Baltimore got beat by Philly who got beat down against AZ. AZ beat NE. The teams that are 3-0 are the best teams.

I dont see any difference between last year's team and this team.
Last year.we were winning because of Tebow's magic in 4th quarter.
Same ****ty playcalling and offense.

I highly doubt that happens. Raiders arent close to being as good as the last two teams we played.

Not really. The offense around Manning is still getting used to the hurry-up.

It's gonna be tough... I still think 10-6 is possible this year, with a nice run at the end.

I really hope so. Not ready to lose hope in the team.

So as a playoff winning team from last year, we shouldn't be concerned that we're 1-2 and looking bad getting there?

Houston won against Dolphins,Jaguars and Broncos.
Falcons won against AFC west teams...
I am not sure how you can say ATL/HOU are elite teams.
We will only know when they play good teams..

Can't pannick. We're not even a qtr of the way into the season. Give the falcons, Texans (and referee crews) their due. If Denver played a 60 minute game, we would be 3-0. It's nice that we can battle back but Denver needs to start earlier in games and capitalize on missed throws, dropped passes, and potential turnovers and sacks.

Hard to say for sure they're the two best teams, but they're certainly very good teams and I wouldn't be surprised if they both have first round byes come January.

We haven't played well the last two weeks though, there's no sense denying that. The O-Line has been poor, Manning has made some bad throws and the receivers are dropping balls on offense. The defense aren't getting consistent pressure and are making mistakes in coverage. It hasn't been great.

That said, there's no reason at all that we can't improve over the coming weeks and start winning games. If we can get to the bye week at 3-3 we'll be in great shape, our schedule is much easier after the bye and our division isn't anything to fear.

Some of you need to sack the hell up and stop crying, some of the posts these last few hours have been pathetic.

Goes without saying next week's game against Oakland is HUGE. If we win we should be able to stay within a game of San Diego until our schedule eases up around week 9

We dont get that pick six and this team could be 0-3. I dont mind losing, but playing like a .500 team for 3quarters means you suck.
