This makes them look even worse. If simultaneous catch IS reviewable in the end zone, they blew it both on the field and in the booth.

Jennings has two hands on the ball with it clutched against his chest, and Tate has one hand wedged in Jennings armpit: Tate's other hand has no contact with the football. There is NO WAY that can be considered simultaneous possession.

Basically, "we know its ****ed up but we wont do anything about it because it would be bad for the NFL to acknowledge what a screw job this is while we are trying to stick it to the regular officials."

They have to uphold this call. If they changed it then every bonehead call for 3 weeks would have to be overturned. Basically this season is tainted forever. The damage is already done.

Come on now. Goodell is just doing the bidding for the owners here.

Obviously, the NFL isn't going to say anything substantial with negotiations still ongoing.

So does Goodell answer to the stock owners of GB?

Exactly. This couldn't have happened to a better team for Goodell since the public owns the packers.

The draft introduction of Roger is going to be outstanding this year. It may top the "she said no" chant when the Steelers were on the clock. Bet you the NFL tries to weasel out of it, by having a kid with cancer introduce the commissioner.

How many owners will have their teams screwed over before they decide enough is enough? Is Bob Kraft happy with the refs?

Haha. Or his spineless back prevents him from going out there. First year a commish doesn't announce draft picks due to safety concerns for his life.

I hate to say it, but the NFL did the right thing in not overturning the result. The fact that the call on the field was so blatantly and obviously incorrect on so many levels is an entirely different thing.

They had to. If overturned I'm sure there would be calls from several teams regarding incorrect calls.

I bet Jerry Jones loved the ref stopping his WR from getting a TD by throwing his hat for no reason.

Imagine if that dude blew out his knee when he ran into that hat. Definite lawsuit against the league for damages and unsafe work conditiona
