Default Schaub lost part of his earlobe on the Mays hit

according to this article on Yahoo (although it might just be a hyperventilating blogger on Yahoo using a sensational headline),

Mays is a 2nd cousin to Mike Tyson

They will fine Mays but it should not have even been a penalty

The idiot cannonball strikes!

Really hope we find a way to draft Te'o next year, I want a real MLB on the team again.

Ouch! However, I never could see the helmet to helmet hit in regular speed or slow motion, but maybe it was. Either way, it was viscous for sure.

the blogger is a chick. she might be overstating it just a tad bit. she also refers to the Mays hit as "devastating and illegal". she's probably a Texans fan.

i don't care what the future cost is. either Star Lotuleli or Manti Te'o need to be one this team next year.
either one fills a huge need for the next 10-15 years(assuming nothing crazy happens and they bust out)

I loved the hit, wish the defense would hit like this on every play.

so long as the player has the ball and is short of the sticks i'm good with that.
our problem is they lay the wood after the fact and it makes it moot.

Add "look at the person with the ball and not the ground" or "don't lead with the top of your head" and we're golden.

Illegal hit.

If we land Te'o next year I won't care about the rest of the draft because Te'o alone makes it a winning draft

I hope no one comes forward with a recording of Del Rio saying "Kill the lobe and the ear will die."

Are you seriously saying knocking out another player (to injury) is a good thing? No way.

I agree... MLBs usually come a little cheaper in the draft, there's a good chance he'll be available in the 10-20 range. Te'o would go a long way toward shoring up some of our defensive issues.

So here's the question -- if we're picking at #20-#25, would you burn a second-rounder as well to move up and get him?
