Their PA boot action is going to be something to watch, especially for our young guys to make sure and stay home on and not let those big plays happen.

Our ends are awfully fast, so getting around them on the boot seems unlikely if they just stay at home instead of crashing down.

So we lose by 40? Is that what we got out of that?

What is this Zone Blicking scheme they refer to? Sounds like a gimick. It'll never last.

Although sample size and opponents need to be considered...

Quote:
Two weeks into the season, the Texans are leading the NFL in fewest points allowed, 8.5 per game, and fewest yards allowed, 196 per game. They’re first in pass defense and eighth in run defense.

Also, having limiting Jacksonville to a franchise-record low of 117 yards, they’re also the only team in the league to have held opponents under 200 yards as many as four times since the start of last season. Baltimore is next with three sub-200-yard efforts.

The offensive lines can hold the ends all day, refs aren't gonna call shyt.

Our linebackers suck in coverage and Foster (when healthy) is a monster. I'm worried about the play action boot freezing the defense and tight ends running unmolested crossing routes across the middle of the field. Raheem is going to have a career game too.

Although Atlanta abuse us on there few boots they did run. Speed on the end is what you want to abuse on the boot. Get them going one direction and roll the other and your speed us used against you.

We just played a zone blocking team in Atlanta, and fared pretty well. The Defensive statistics also represent games against Jacksonville and Miami. In the Miami game, the Phins turned the ball over 4 times in the first half, and completely abandoned their running game. Before the turnovers the Dolphins were having a ton of success running the football, do I don't think were going to have any problems offensively.

Wolfeman shooting through the line and getting Shuab as he rolls out would also stop them from doing the roll out as much I would assume.

PFF didn't think much of his play against Atlanta, calling him one of the worst DEs of the week:

Quote:
Defensive Ends: Derek Wolfe, DEN (-2.7) and Adrian Clayborn, TB (-2.2)

There were no truly terrible displays this week, but Wolfe’s blank on the stat sheet highlighted his lack of impact on Monday Night Football. For Tampa Bay they’ll no doubt be worried by how Clayborn is struggling to have much of an impact on games. Two hurries and no tackles isn’t a great return for a player who should be imposing himself on games.

We have 6 sacks which is pretty good with these refs.

Hopefully we don't turn the ball over 4 times in the first quarter. Not to take anything away from Jax and Miami but we'll be the Texans best challange. They played against a rookie and a 2nd year QB. IF we don't turn the ball over this could be a close game.

We have 48 pressures so far. The elite defense we face on Sunday has 30. A particularly sad defense (Chiefs) has 16.

BS! If Wolfe doesn't collapse the pocket forcing Ryan to his right, Von never gets that sack. This was also the first game Wolfe has played a majotlrity of his snaps at DT vs DE (Did PFF consider that?) Robert Ayers got a lot of PT at DE vs the Falcons.

Those pressures must be coming at the wrong time cause they can't seem to get off the field when they need to

Ayers was on the field for 9 plays. Von may have been at DE , forcing Wolfe to DT, but Ayers wasn't.

Pressuring Big Ben doesn't affect him much unless you sack him.

other than when TD and John ran it no team that depended on the ZBS has ever won a super bowl..

and yes I know that Gb has a form of it but they are and have been a passing team since rodgers came to town hell since farve was there.. and 50 net yards in a super bowl is hardly earth shattering..certainly not worth crowing about..
