His daughter doesnt know **** but she will get a gig as the hot sports bimbo before he gets a gig. Didnt Rock Chalk tell us we have the best DBs of all time right now? We had Atwater and Smith as safeties for some good years. That was a great combo.

Sure wish Smith and Atwater would do a little mentoring for the Broncos, a la Rod Smith and Mecklenburg. Our young safeties could certainly use it.

On a related topic since everyone is busy crowning Nolan for his game plan against Manning...Wade Phillips never received the credit for providing the blueprint on how to effectively shutdown the K-Gun offense. The offense du jour running roughshod over everyone, a hybrid no huddle shotgun precursor to the run & shoot.

Problem is with the new rules, Moore and Adams would be ejected before the end of the first quarter.

Atwater and Smith really struck fear in any WR crossing the middle or any RB thinking he could lower his shoulder and gain another yard.

Too bad he played in the same era as Ronnie Lott (and they played together at USC) because he was always overshadowed. Looking back now, he is one of the top 10 safeties of all time and the argument could be made to put him in the top 5.

Before there were helmet-to-helmet rules, I remember he would go in for a tackle and not even extend his arms - just launch himself, helmet first, to speer the guy or, better yet, hit him in the head and knock him out.
