Can't believe it's not a thread yet. Anyone else out there want us to pick Garrard up and drop Hanie the Heinous?

I think we should just so we can go on Raiders boards and tell them how our O is going to be so great that they have no chance beating us now like this thread:

Not I. Am I sold on out backup, nope. But he should know the system by now. And he is not hurt either. If things go as hoped/planned he will just be holding a clipboard anyways.

Getting a HoF QB that missed the entire 2011 season is one thing...getting a mediocre QB that missed the entire 2011 season is something else.

this place never ceases to amaze me...

I'm more perplexed about Gaffney. Goes 68-947 last season, 6-875 the year before, and doesn't have a job right now? Somebody will sign him, but there has to be at least a dozen teams where he could improve the WR depth. Including possibly the Broncos.

Jeff Ireland is not a very good GM

I'll take Hanie. Not that he's any better, they're equal as ****ty as far as I'm concerned but Hanie had a preseason learning our offense.

He didn't play last year and was in a serious downward slide his last few seasons. Yes Hanie is mediocre, but he is much better than Garrard

He will get picked up eventually but right now teams don't want a vested vet on team to start yr or the contract is guaranteed for the yr right? He may get some looks 2nd week of season. You are right though he is better then WR currently on rosters in the NFL.

Not sure if this matters much but...the first or second episode of Hard Knocks he was slated to be the starter in Miami before he got hurt. I know its Miami but they thought he looked good enough to start. I think he could be a solid back up.

What is the over/under bet that he will be starting for Oakland at some point this year?
