And there are still people who hate it that players hold it. One play and you could be done.

Looked nasty as hell.

Still the worst I've ever seen is Johnny Knox last year.

Guess you didn't see Joe Theisman get his leg snapped in half, eh?

Kuper's last year was as bad as this... that was against KC, too.

What about the kicker on AZ? I heard his leg snapped kicking the ball tonight.

You're right, I didn't. Hard to imagine it was as bad as Theisman's... with his broken tibia jutting out through the skin of his leg.

I'll see if I can find a clip of Knox...

Okay, saw it...

The Knox injury was more awful from the standpoint that he could easily have been paralyzed. Theisman's injury was more gory, IMO.

It reminded me of Eddie Mac's broken leg on September 10, 2001.

None of the players even noticed he was hurt at first. They were walking off the field like it was a normal play. Poor bastard was just laying there in agonizing pain.

Yep, I'll never forget the day that happened. I remember Eddie saying he woke up in the hospital watching TV, wondering what the hell was happening.

One of the worst I ever saw was a game where San Francisco was playing Atlanta and Steve Young threw a pick. The Falcon player was returning the INT for what looked like a pick 6. Steve young goes flying down the field dives and hits the guys leg just right and it snapped and I swear to God his toe touched his knee.

I have yet to find a video of it online though.

Thank God you didn't. The most gruesome breaks are always the ones I find myself staring at. Like a bad car accident.

Different sport but Jason Kendall's break was probably the worst of all players mentioned.

The worst part of Theismans is hearing it on TV and then seeing LT's reaction

He held onto the ball so he's good in my book. Hope he recovers well.

I've never really been squeamish but when I saw that... MAN!

I thought for sure that guy was dead.
