I think he did last year, with 1 on the PS. It started w/McGahee, Moreno and Ball on the roster and Johnson on the PS. When Moreno went on IR they called up Johnson and later signed Omon to the PS... I think.

Here's a rough sketch of how I see things possibly shaking out, although we can usually count in picking up a guy or two another team cuts.

I didn't even finish reading this Article, all credibility was loss when they put Xavier Omon on the 'Practice Squad'... I've heard more than once Omon has been in the league long enough on multiple teams.. that he has 'no' eligibility left for the Practice Squad.

Its either make the 53-man roster or find another team.

They project Beal to make the team...it just says "practice squad" because that's what he did last year.

Interesting that Mason projects the Broncos to carry only 2 QB's, which frees up an extra spot on Defense. He did that with his last roster projection, so it may stick.

It's a good idea to keep Brooking around after the LB display against Seattle. Keeping Leonhard over Tony Carter is a good idea too.

I think errand is referring to a thread I made a few days ago that had "Brooking cut" in the thread title. That old thread was just an IAOFM projection.

Just so you know - that "Practice Squad" he put in parenthesis is not his projection of where Omon will end up. It is the player's status from last year (when Omon was on the practice squad). I think it is something the CBS site tags. For example, the site says this for the quarterbacks:

That makes more sense. It would be nice to see Garland stick around. He's a good story. You want to see a guy like that make it. Anthony Miller has made some good catches. Shame to see him getting squeezed out by new guys coming in. But that's life in the NFL.

I think it would be prudent to have a 3rd QB for at least the 1st 6 games of the year, if Manning is still progressing or holding fast then we could think about dressing 2 or cutting Hanie. If Manning goes down we need a guy who knows how to call the plays and get the O to the line, Hanie sucks but he can do that much.
