Default The other Peyton

The obvious answer is our new QB. Let's see how many else we have. These are the things of champions.

The offensive line has shown heart and determination, Walton has looked improved and both Clady and Franklin have been showing some mustard. The goal line blocking on the Mcgahee TD against Seattle was good and only allowing a couple of pressures against a solid defensive front is a good performance.

Dumervil and Miller have both been going hard, they are playing with fire making their presence very much felt. Malik Jackson also seems to be giving all he has.

The offensive skill players looked a bit disinterested against the Seahawks, everything from Mcgahee bouncing a 3rd and inches run to the outside on the first drive to Dreesen and Thomas not going harder for overthrown balls.

Willis Mac reminds me a bit of Payton in his quiet and execution. Can he find the strings that tie him to his offensive line and to Peyton? I think it's an interesting idea. As Ditka would put it, "There are so many things that come into a championship team but most of them start with everyone believing."

Even if you don't watch the link, that I provided, watch some of the Walter Payton videos that may follow. These are the things of champions and teams don't watch them enough. Or maybe it's not in the watching as much the potential understanding. These are the things that make the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

He did? Wasn't he the one who got owned by a geriatric TO for what should have been a TD? Thought it was him but maybe not.

Von - Doom were great ( held on every play but great. ) Warren even threw 2 dudes to the ground to grab there RB. It was pretty slick. I also think Ayers is going to have a break out year.

Yeah that was him, but he did have a few pass breakups and a near INT

Didn't Doom blow by the defender and get tackled on that play too? The scabs missed 3 blatant holding penalties in the first half.

Von Miller's motor never stops his passion for the game is strong same with Elvis Dumervil.

Willis McGahee plays with a whole lot of heart as well, one of the toughest players in the game he goes hard every day.

Peyton Manning, enough said.

Robert Ayers always play with heart and passion, he may lack in skill at times but he always seems to go hard lately.

I see something in Joe Mays as well, but I definitely gotta see more

That he can't tackle? Why am I the only one who noticed he played horrid?

Because he didn't. He played inconsistently. He's one of the most up and down players I've ever watched. He had 3 or 4 great tackles (took a good angle, got in on the play, brought his player down). He also missed 3 or 4 stops that turned into big games.

With Mays it's not a matter of can't, it's a matter of doing it all the time.

Totally gay post. Started off with using the Methwolf thing. Seriously, can't you people here have something more then a HS mentality? It's not funny. Say it to yourself 20 times. Second, are you for real dude? You're saying 2 people on the entire team are the only ones who care about this team and winning? What a stupid post. Should be deleted.

Should have been a TD isn't a TD. That was one play. He played in a lot more than one play.

Didnt you get the memo about how heart can now be measured by a quarter or so of preseason ball? That and a few posts about meth and you've got an orangemane thread.

3 or 4 missed tackles that turn into huge gains, and also taking some crappy angles and crashing the wrong gaps. He single-handedly contributed to multiple conversions and he sucks in coverage. I know he's all we got, but he's directly responsible for some of the long gains on running plays. And saying "he does it sometimes" is basically like saying someone doesn't always suck. That is a bad game to me.

And I remind you that the book on defeating Peyton Manning is to eat clock and grind it out on the field to keep Manning off the field as much as possible. We're going to see a crap load of runs all year - particularly with who our QB is and especially with the way the linebackers don't tackle very well like they did Saturday night.

Yeah, looks less than enthused. Doubt he's is in roster danger, but Wolfe's already passed him, and Malik Jackson had a sack the other night.
