Default Bengals waive Jordan Shipley

What da fuq?

Per adam schefter's facebook handle + this:

http://www.cincyjungle.com/2012/8/17...es-and-shipley

Apparently, it's because his recovery from an ACL injury is too slow, although he is making progress.

For some reason he reminds me of Eddie Mac.

Bengals are a poorly ran team. Couldn't they put him on the active PUP instead of cutting him?

That's what weird. Unless they think he's just not going to recover enough explosiveness to be an NFL receiver.

Knowing of their owner, he probably saw a failing investment, and gave the ol' judo chop.

Wow.... I would sign in a heartbeat even for the chance that he does get fully recovered.

They probably see him as not a part of the team moving on.

He's definitely an upgrade over Stokely physically, but obviously doesn't have the chemistry Peyton "Mother ****ing" Manning that Stoke does.

If he can get healthy, he can be a very good slot receiver

But I'd still take him over Hill, Willis, and Stokely.

Shipley seems to have a knack for finding open space on the field and is certainly worth a look from our training staff. I would bet Bellycheat would kick the tires on this guy.

No but clearly we're not concerned with that. Osweiler can't play LB for **** but we drafted him over David.
