That sucks, he's been one of the better stories of this training camp.

That sucks, sounds like he was gonna make the team and possibly even start.
Hopefully between Ayers and Wolfe we can cover this injury without too much problem though. |

Is the new IR rule in effect where you can activate 1 guy off IR during the season?
We may have to make use of it. Can't have too many guys on the active roster who can't even play. |

The NFLPA just recently shot that down along with moving the trade deadline to week 8.

If it's a similar injury as Warren's, they might have to IR Hunter for the year. At least we have good depth there w/ Doom, Ayers, Wolfe, Jackson and Beal. |

Warren reaggravated his pretty badly when he fell down running out of the tunnel for the opener apparently, he only went on IR after that.
Hunter should be able to return if he has no setbacks. |

This is bad. These aren't even players who routinely get hurt. Wait until our usual glass suspects start going down. 53? They'll be lucky to find 53 healthy bodies.

Sucks for Hunter, but he has a history of starting out fast and flaming out. I would rather have Ayers starting anyway, with Malik Jackson back-up. I just read that Wolfe is listed as 2nd string LDE on the latest depth chart? I wonder who takes Hunter's place? I would prefer:
LDE: Ayers NT: Warren UT: Wolfe RDE: Dumervil Guess we'll find out today. |

he's a nice story but i don't trust him as a legit starter. as much as Ayers frustrates me with his lack of pass rush i'd trust him more as a DE starter than Hunter.

I personally think they were using Hunter as a foil to motivate Ayers. Ayers is the more talented player. He made some plays last game too.

Ayers looked like he turned the corner at the end of last year, he finished with 5 sacks (including playoffs). Hopefully Ayers can shine this year. |

A tough loss even though Ayers should be the starter anyway, Hunter is definitely a good backup. Wolfe is going to have to be ready. Luckily so far he seems to be doing a good job.
