Default Latimer

So obviously he is buried on the depth chart but do we know exactly why? I thought he looked good against Seattle in the preseason. Haven't heard much.

After Seattle he didn't look like he knew what he was doing out there, but his potential did have me excited after that particular game.

Yeah, to me he's an outside wr playing behind two of the best in the league. People just expect to much too soon.

he's apparently a slow learner. he's also apparently got a bit of the Julius Thomas disease (i.e., he was a basketball player and that's the sport he had a passion for). makes me wonder if he's working as hard as he needs to be to get on the field...

A combination of attitude, talent, and being lost in the sauce.

Latimer sucks. Best WR class in a decade and we take a dud.

How long have the other guys been playing for Kubiak? He's had the same amount of time as everyone else.

I will wait at least one more season for this to ring true, but ya he has not looked good, and I am POSITIVE that he is not "just buried on the depth chart" if he had the talent to be out there more, he would.

He's behind Norwood? Who was on IR the entire year last year.

I'm guessing his lack of blocking on spread runs when he's down field. He has been left in the dirt even during the preseason.

he got blown up quite a bit by safties. focus being on running and playing D, it makes sense

It's looking like he's a bust. He should be our clear-cut #3 based on his draft position.

Denver drafted the worst WR out of that amazing WR draft class. Unreal.

you would think after seeing how JT got paid this past offseason and can now coast for the rest of his JAX career... Latimer would see the personal benefit of putting in a couple of years of hard work so that he could trick some other team into giving him a big contract like JT did. you would think.

It's really bad when you have a guy with his physical abilities that can't see the field in year two. Either it's an intelligence issue, an effort issue, or both.

As far as the Ashley Lelie comparisons go at least Ashley banked one 1000 yard season.

What I didn’t get is his blocking is pretty good. Would have had him out there instead of Norwood on those wr screens.

I think it's solely a Peyton thing - doesn't trust the guy yet. Latimer looked like a player when teamed with Brock in preseason, but as soon as Peyton was in, his ass was getting chewed.

I agree with this. He seems to have a relationship with Brock that he doesn't with Peyton.
