Ed McCaffrey to replace Brian Griese on KOA broadcasts - The Orange Mane

Just announced at 5p.m. Mtn on KOA radio...Brian Griese will be leaving Broncos radio coverage to do more work at ESPN; Ed McCaffrey will be his replacement as color analyst working with Dave Logan.

I thought Greise did a good job on those broadcasts, but lets face it he really isn't a true Bronco not like Easy Ed anyway.

I'm fine with it; liked both guys media-wise in their post-NFL careers. Eddie will be great as analyst.

Logan said Griese is going to be doing more NFL work at ESPN in Bristol, particularly with Thursday night football.

Too bad. He and Logan had excellent banter, and Brian finally contributed something to the Broncos faithful.

Hope Ed will be good. He's a smart guy and knows what he's talking about, but who knows if he'll be able to deliver as a color commentator. It's a harder job than most think.

Griese was a better color man on the radio broadcasts than a QB. I thought he did a great job. But Eddie Mac should be a good replacement (I think Ed did a game or two a few seasons ago when KOA was auditioning different partners for Logan)

Congrats to Brian and good for him. He's better now than his dad ever was in the booth. I'll miss him with Logan as I think they were one of the best announcing teams in all of pro football, but I have no doubt Eddy Mac will do great. It helps having as good a play by play guy as Logan is. Makes it easy on the color analyst.

Griese was a huge improvement over the insufferable Scott Hastings. He was awful.

SOB was a much better color commentator than Broncos QB, If only he showed the same heart in games (minus that one Raider game he got his shoulder shot up for) he would have been the next Montana...that would have made Shanny right!
