Who you got? My pick is Justin Rose. I normally don't like Luke Donald in majors but got a hunch on him for some reason. Paddy could be a factor his game has come around of late.

Rose tends to get off to a good start in majors then he folds in the 3rd and 4th rounds. He did win at Doral this year against a pretty good field.
I think it's about time Lee Westwood wins a major. He's been close a few times. |

I love The Open every July.
Playing seaside with gorse and bunkers everywhere, no trees, wind like a mofo and greens that look like cottage cheese on Nancy Grace's thighs - a true test. Players better bring all their shots to have a chance. |

Well Adam Scott was a man on a mission, lets see if he can keep that pace up. I bet you can ask the whole field if they saw 8 birdies out there today and they'd scream no. Too bad he found the two bogies. Could have really grabbed this thing by the testes.

Course playing as easy as it can this morning, if the wind starts blowing then look out!
My each way bets for the week were McDowell, Garcia, Harrington, Fowler, Molinari and Colsaerts. Nice first round from McDowell, Garcia not so much... |

There are a few trees about, more than other links courses tend to have anyway.
They're not really in play though. |

The open is always a treat.
If the weather stays nice, no wind and warm, the top 3 should walk away with it. Hoping Tiger keeps his temper in ckeck , He could win it. If the wind starts-up and it cools down watch for eveybody to start giving back strokes. Els and Z johnson could be in it if that happens. |

I kind of forget about the International players, pure prejudice on my part. Sorry to see Lefty blew up and missed the cut again. Do you know much about this Snedecker kid? Does he have the temperment to hold on, he's from Tenn I think . can he still play if the weather turns? |

Not sure about his bad weather game but he has been in final groups at Masters before and won a few tournaments on tour before. He is a great putter I know but he can show pressure in the final round. I think he needs to go 2-3 under par tomorrow and have a couple stroke lead going into the final round to have a chance.
