I think a lot of people just want to see Manning perform. And if he does, get ready to open the bandwagon...

Yeah this surprised me too. I am not as happy about it as you are, though. I don't yearn for Faulk-love.

Sapp doesn't "break down" anything at all! All he does is show a highlight reel of both players. His analysis consists of the phrase "oh my goodness!" 4 (yes FOUR) times with one "oh it's money right there!" thrown in for good measure.

Nice little highlight reel, but as a fan you don't learn anything at all about Denver's pass-rushing schemes from Mr. Sapp in that segment.

He shouldda just done the whole segment on what makes Doom dangerous, and then spent 10 minutes showing that one Doom flattening Brady play from 6 different angles.

Great, if Faulk picks us, we're fooked!

We need some reverse mojo to reverse his reversal.

Tebow vs. Manning

Who is Faulk going to speak highly of?

Who did he mentor his first few years?

Is this really surprising

Faulk also played a season with Manning with the Colts. But he isn't someone I really care what he predicts.

The irony of of a Miami Heat fan saying this is substantial.

So you don't think that one guy playing QB at a HoF level vs. the other guy who struggles throwing the ball had anything to do with Faulk saying the things he said?

Wow....

I remember in ManningGate he was certain based on his "sources" that Manning was going to Miami. Marshall Faulk - As reliable for information as Boob the Information Minister.

Yeah that was funny.

The reason the or so dangerous is because both of them have multiple moves to get to the QB, and are fast enough to get around the edge. Doom has a weird body with long arms, low to the ground, and he gets really horizontal to the ground making it tough for defender to get on him . Miller more physical then doom and using his hands really well to engage, and then shed the block and just go around his guy.

You would think with outside pressure one of our DT could get a sack or 2 here or there.

What's amazing is they never think that praise and criticism of any player has to do with what people have actually witnessed.

Anyone who's watched the NFL the past decade and a half knows Peyton is the real deal...and to say he won't elevate this team's offensive performance is just plain stupidity on their part...and with a better offense, our D will be able to finally play with a lead in a lot more games, which should help us immensely.

The bottom line is that this team is a lot closer to a SB today than they were in January....

So, in January, after we just won our first Playoff game since Jake Plummer was our QB in 2005 and we were 2 wins away from the Superbowl, we were farther away than we are at this point where we haven't even played a preseason game?

Sorry, I can't buy that and no matter who is on your team, there are 0 guarantees in the NFL.

There are no guarantees in the NFL....

And while we did make the playoffs and won a playoff game, we were not as close to the SB as we are now....

We've made significant changes that give me reason to believe this.

We added better players thru FA like Manning, Adams, Dreesen, Tamme and Porter....all of whom are upgrades over the players they replaced.

We added youth and speed via the draft in players like Wolfe, Hillman and Bolden....and while they might seem like reaches to some fans, they are high character players who seem like team first players and fit the mold the coaching staff thinks will be successful.

We added one of the better defensive minds in Jack Del Rio....

Add in the fact that McGahee will surely benefit from not having to carry the ball as much this season as he did last season, and that Manning will attack the entire field, and utilize the TE and RB's in the passing game more our D will be playing more aggressively with a lead.

Plus add the return to 100% health of guys like Doom and Miller, who battled injuries in '11 but were still pretty productive, playing with a lead should see even more production from them.

So yeah, we're much closer now than we were then......

Errand, it wasn't an opinion, it was a fact.

2 games is closer than 22-23 games.
