Default Congrats to Serena Williams on her fifth Wimbledon Women's Singles title.

Hope she and Venus win their fifth Wimbledon doubles title this afternoon (they did). Regardless how you feel about her, she is coming back from a difficult injury recovery with serious doubt about whether she would ever play again or not. Good for her.

she's a damn good player, probably the best of her era and if not for the injury issues would have many more grand slam titles.

for some reason though, i get the feeling that she would beat the crap out of her man in a relationship.

Great Men's Doubles win for Marray (first British men's doubles winner in 76 years) and Nielsen (first Danish major tourney winner of any kind, ever)! These guys were a pick-up team wildcard addition to the field and have only played 5 or 6 tourneys (all minor) together. Great story. Marray isn't even sponsored! Bet he is tomorrow.

That's what happens when you let a man play in a women's division.

Until you see it where the arms and shoulders weren't airbrushed down to make them look less masculine.

Good, one Wimbledon match(es) is over and 1 to go. ESPN and ESPN 2 showing tennis on both of their networks sucks! Once it is over, they can start showing 2 different sports on those channels. Tennis station is made for one of these to keep it off both ESPNs. Hell, put it on ESPN Ocho.

One of the biggest reasons for her adopting the OPTIMAL HUMAN DIET was when Venus revealed that reason for her drop out of the U.S. Open this summer was an incurable disease of the immune system called Sjogren’s Syndrome. The symptoms caused her to cancel her second U.S. Open match, after winning the first. She says, though, that the diagnosis was a relief after years of going to doctors without results. “I would go to the doctor and start crying. I couldn’t help it. I just want a chance to play on the same field as other people, I want to feel normal, but as frightening as the diagnosis was, it was also a relief.”

Now the tennis star is taking it easy. “I’ve been going hard the past few weeks and it scares me, I need to avoid stress or I’ll get sicker and go backwards,” Venus said. It was Serena who suggested that she try holistic ways to treat her symptoms, as some treatments for the disease can cause other health problems. Along with massages and yoga, Venus has switched to a diet of raw vegan foods hoping to reduce inflammation in her joints. Serena has made the diet change too, saying “She has done a complete U-turn. She was devastated but she is so positive now.”

Serena has an amazing body, but she's not so good looking in the face. lol

She's the best tennis player of her generation with only her sister coming close to her. It is a trip though, that it is a lot easier to root for Venus than Serena. Serena can be a sore loser and get extremely moody when she loses, and then have a "look at me!" moment when she wins. I've always felt that Venus had more grace and was easier to like. And it did rub me the wrong way when Serena said that she didn't like training or working hard, and at times she didn't even like tennis. Imagine if she really loved the sport and worked super hard. She's like the Shaq of tennis. Physically dominant so she didn't care to work on her game as much as others had to.

Must be a huge kitchen to have a tennis court in it.

Except she doesn't even really play tennis. It's unwatchable.

The Men's final was absolutely fantastic. Some of the best in recent years, especially given the setting.

I'm not sure what you're watch, but that looks like tennis to me. Maybe you don't like the short vollies because of the big serves, but she's still playing the sport. She's just beter than everybody else.
