Default Have a great 4th!

I don't know about anyone else, but I ended up taking the entire week off. Unfortunately, my daughter is sick today, so not much recreating going on right now, but we're headed to the beach once she's ok.

Hope everyone has a great holiday!

Happy 4th of July to you to Taco and Garcia! Same thing for everyone else. Enjoy some good food, enjoy some good times, enjoy America!

I have Wednesday off, so that is a nice break in the middle of the week. I think every year but one in the last 12 years of my life, I've went to my friends lake cabin ~ 20 miles north of town here. Will be doing that this weekend. Two kegs ordered and ready for just Friday night alone. Can't wait to go swimming, tubing and all that watersports fun. Throw in a few fishin' lines, play me some geetar and hopefully snuggle with a girlie.

Haven't decided if I am going to drop cash on fireworks. Not really worth it anymore, but I still get nostalgic being around them.

BE SAFE. BE GLORIOUS. BE AMERICA.

Kinda blows that it's in the middle of the week. South Lake Tahoe is incredible on the 4th. Rated one the best fireworks display in America.

That looks totally fake. I doubt he would be standing there posing for the camera with half his ass blown off. And there would be blood. And you can't say it was taken at a later time, his shorts are blown off too.

But yeah, be safe, I agree there.

Oregon town canceling fireworks cause it "scares the birds". So they'd rather have their local businesses lose thousands of dollars in revenue. That's sounds about right for today's America.

How does not having fireworks impact local businesses? Most places are closed on the 4th or at least by 9pm if they do open.

Only ones making money are Park district beer tents.

Some towns have fireworks shows that brings in thousands of people. Those people spend money at the local businesses. South lake Tahoe has a big one. Where I live in Carmel they used to have one in Monterey. Didn't have it last year and the motels restaurants and shops in that area said they saw a huge drop in revenue over this holiday time.
