![]() I don't know why, but I feel for Dennis Allen. He had very little to work with last year, and has virtually nothing this year. McKenzie has no clue what he is doing; he's making Matt Millen look like a half way decent GM.
I just wish greasy Al was alive to see this; it would be worse than hell for him. |

just saw this today. Might have been the Raiders getting cold feet and using the failed physical as a coverup for buyers remorse as well! |

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...ll-rejoin-rams Well now they have the most cap money in the NFL but they can't retain their one above avg defensive player and instead end up bringing in an old Justin Tuck. They are likely going to be forced to take a QB with the 5th overall pick in a year where it would be better to get an impact player 1st then use a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a QB. It does sound like Mark Davis is getting in the way and was the major reason the Saffold deal didn't go through. Why they didn't keep their own LT should be on mCk though. |

![]() They almost have nowhere to go but up...except their schedule is likely to be brutal. Setting an over/under would be difficult.
Since this thread is bumped, I thought I'd add a piece of good news on the statistical history front. Thanks to the win-loss records of last season, the Raiders' worst 11 years are now worse than the Broncos' worst. From 1960-1970 the Broncos were 44-105-5, for a percentage of .3019. From 2003-2013 the Raiders are 53-123, for a percentage of .3011. Excellent job, but as we all know there's still more work to be done, and it starts with sweeping them every year. |

![]() It’s hard not to blame the Raiders’ lack of offensive production on quarterback Matt Schaub. His lack of mobility and arm strength are glaring. The lack of offensive production while he is in the game is obvious. What is more alarming is the way other teams defend him. They strongly contest the short routes, they can rush the pocket knowing he doesn’t have the mobility or foot speed to get away from the pressure, or even buy more time with his feet. That was again apparent with a strip sack fumble on friday night.

![]() Charles Woodson on Raiders after defeat to Houston: “We suck”
n their home opener Sunday vs. Houston, the Raiders committed four turnovers and didn’t score their first points until the fourth quarter in a 30-14 loss. And afterwards, veteran safety Charles Woodson gave an unflattering assessment of Oakland’s performance. “We suck,” Woodson said, according to Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area and other Raiders reporters. Woodson said he knew the performance was a downer for Raiders fans, who haven’t seen their club make the postseason since 2002 and witnessed Oakland fall to 0-2 in a game in which it trailed by at least 14 points for three-quarters of the contest. “Everybody’s optimistic. You know, it’s our first home game. They’re excited to see their Raiders, and what was that we put out there on the field?” Woodson said afterwards, according to a video clip posted by Marcus Thompson of Bay Area News Group. “That’s embarrassing. And I’m embarrassed for this team, I’m embarrassed for the fans, and the thing about is, I’m part of it. I don’t know what we need to do as a team going forward, but something’s going to have to be done. I don’t know what that is, but we’ve go to do better than we did today.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...uston-we-suck/ ![]() |

![]() Raiders notes: No sacks for first time in 23 games
OAKLAND -- That supposedly new and improved Raiders pass rush has yet to show up through two games. Oakland failed to sack Houston quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick during their 30-14 loss to the Texans on Sunday. It was the first time since Nov. 18, 2012 that the Raiders did not have a sack, ending a 23-game streak. The Raiders were credited with hitting Fitzpatrick only once. The Raiders have two sacks through two games. That, along with their inability to stop the run, has made the Raiders look anything but improved along their defensive front. Veteran defensive ends LaMarr Woodley and Justin Tuck, along with rookie linebacker Khalil Mack, are part of the new group that was expected to improve the pass rush. Woodley said the Raiders’ inability to stop the run is a big reason there haven’t been sacks. The Raiders have given up 400 rushing yards in two games, including 188 to the Texans. ![]() Their WR actually fumbled twice on one play. Fumbled. Picked it up and ran a little more. Fumbled again.

![]() He was going in to score when he decided to do it again! Dont forget the Faiders failing to make up a play that gets a player out of bounds so they can attempt a 60 yard field goal to end the half. At the sports bar, I told my kids that they would fail to get out of bounds with no timeouts. Sure enough, it happened.
