I wonder if the Raiders would consider paying 6 million dollars to cut me. I would even do it for 3.

It's a stunning admission of defeat from out-of-his-depth GM Reggie McKenzie, but hardly surprising considering coach Dennis Allen's barely-concealed disdain for his would-be starting quarterback. Flynn had tumbled behind Matt McGloin a painful to watch quarterback in college on the depth chart, and was embarrassingly inept in his Week 4 spot start against the Redskins.

The fact that he's bringing home a guaranteed $6.5 million this season is one of the most embarrassing GM gaffes in recent memory. Between his money wasted in Flynn and fourth-round misfire on Tyler Wilson, McKenzie has proven he has no idea what he's doing with quarterbacks. Barely a No. 2 level talent, it's possible Flynn will latch back on with the Packers, who lack a viable backup behind Aaron Rodgers.

This guy made 16 mil for one game.

I want Matt Flynn's life. How much guaranteed money has that guy made off of one meaningless game as a Packer? 20 mill, 25 mill?

Go Matt Flynn. He turned one game into an incredible amount of money. And I'm sure he can latch on somewhere for more game checks.

Oakland Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver's fine for his obscene gesture toward an official was resolved Monday between the Raiders and the league, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported.

Tarver became agitated after cornerback Mike Jenkins was flagged for hitting a defenseless receiver in the third quarter of the Raiders' 21-18 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The flag eventually was picked up, but not before Tarver went off, extending his right arm and middle finger twice while peppering the officials with salty language.

medicore bkuo QB is the best friggin job in the world. Why more qbs just don't shoot for bkup is beyond me. Play 15 yrs, don't get injured, still make millions. Seriously how good does that sound considering the chances of being as good as John Elway are slim. Better to be Kubiak then Sanchez IMO. Sure Sanchez thought he was going to be a star, and Kubes prob knew he was a bkup, but whose career is going to look better at the end? The guy hated for not getting it done, or the one who was a steadfast teammate and turned into a coach lol!

Chiefs will lose, and when it happens it may not be a playoff team that beats them. In fact I could see them slipping up, then having to face the Broncos 2 of 3 and losing both of them. Boom the fantasy season over for the queefs.

Surprised a Raider fan hasn't tried something like this with all the time they spend in jail:

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One Pittsburgh Steelers fan is apparently so upset that the team didn’t make the playoffs, he’s suing the NFL.
Daniel L. Spuck of Mercer, Pa., has reportedly filed a motion against the NFL to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
The Baltimore Sun says Spuck is seeking a “temporary emergency injunction” on the basis that the San Diego Chargers should never have been in the postseason to begin with.
The Chargers reached the NFL playoffs by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in week 17.
During the game, officials failed to call an illegal alignment formation on the Chargers that would have allowed the Chiefs kicker to re-kick a field goal he missed.
Had he made that kick, San Diego’s loss would have sent the Steelers to the playoffs.
In the filing obtained by the Sun, Spuck reportedly suggests that the NFL suspend the playoffs for a week to 10-days, allow Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop to rekick the field goal, or let the Steelers and Chargers face off in a neutral site to see who advances.
San Diego did advance to the second round of the playoffs by beating the Cincinnati Bengals in the wild card round.
It doesn’t appear that lawsuit will go forward however.
The Sun also reports that online court records show the lawsuit was filed via inmate mail,

Maybe they haven't filed a lawsuit because they sent their lawyer the following message:

Is this team relevant anymore? I mean Bronco Steven bumped this thread by putting a Steelers story in the Raiders Suck tie to it. No Raider fan would sue the NFL because they are more than one game away from making the playoffs. That team has their dead money coming to an end yet they will still suck for awhile.

Most of the attention is (rightly) on the Chargers tonight, and I see someone noted how many playoff games the Broncos have won while the Chiefs' drought continues.

However, I think it's worth noting that (short of the Chiefs somehow not choking vs the Colts again, and the Chiefs upsetting NE in NE) the four teams that are still left standing (DEN, NE, SF, and SEA) are the four worst teams that a Raiders fan could imagine competing for a Super Bowl.

"I wouldn't talk about Plan B's or anything like that," Davis said. "I don't want to talk about using someplace else for leverage. If I get something done in Oakland, I am staying."

Raiders had a talent drain of their own. Lost leading rusher (Jennings), best o-lineman (Veldheer) and top defensive player (Houston).

Saffold is getting $42.5M to Veldheer's $37.5M. Do the Raiders really believe Saffold is better? Or did Veldheer take less $ to flee?
