Default The Broncos have had the NFLís fewest losing seasons by any team from 1984 to the present!

Broncos Have One of a Kind Sellout Streak

June 14th, 2012 - 9:39am by jim_saccomano

The 2012 National Football League season will mark another year in the game’s longest home sellout streak.

The Denver Broncos sellout streak will be in its 43rd year this season, and that makes it unique beyond its simple and obvious length

So the only team, the single one and only team that has played before home sellouts for the entirely of its multi-decade membership in the NFL, is the Denver Broncos.

Further, the fans from Denver, the surrounding region and even farther areas of the country who have packed Mile High Stadium and now Sports Authority Field at Mile High for this 43-year streak have seen almost nothing but winning.

We already know the Broncos have had six AFC titles and Super Bowl appearances during this streak, with the unforgettable back-to-back world championships as the centerpieces of this success.

Good story but since Denver went 9-7 in 1983 you could go back to that year.

this is why so many fans were upset with the end of the Shanahan and most of the McDaniels era. we at times had the AFC damn near gifted to us and found ways to lose it.

I'd click on the link to read the full story, but something tells me that the majority of it is in the OP.

I guess the Skins sellout streak ended? I know that they used to have the longest home sell out streak, just slightly longer than the Broncos. However, the majority of that time was in the old Jack Kent Cook (sp?) stadium which was small, but a hellava place to watch a game.

This is why I say (our) fan base is spoiled all the time.
There is always some moron who wants to argue about near misses and collapses but all and all Denver has been close to the best team in the sport for 20 + years.

Actually I thank John Elway for that. I guess we can give Shanny a little credit for not sinking the ship after the captain hung em up though.

We are lucky to have the ownership we have (regardless of how you felt about 2008 to 2011). We are a spoiled fanbase. SB appearances since the 1970's tend to do that.

Dan Reeves was 10-6 in 1981 without Elway. He also went on to post winning records in NY and Atlanta.

Good point. Really there are many, many people involved in the success of the team in this time frame. But if we're going to be singling people out as key figures, John Elway has to be at the top the list. Followed by Bowlen.

That is incorrect. The Packers are the team that had/have the longest sell out streak.
