Right now we've got the UEFA Euro. I'm pulling for:

My adopted 2nd home - The Netherlands (The Mighty Oranje)
My ancestry - Sweden (Heja Sverige)
And Spain....

I dont have a rooting intrest, but have been enjoying the matches thus far. I assume Sweden beats up on the Ukraine this afternoon....followed my Zlatan saying something self-serving and conceited.

Watched England piss away their match earlier. Would have been nice if they held on.

Otherwise I will root for my usual teams: Germany, and anyone playing Spain.

I always pull for Germany. Love their chances, though they were pretty lucky to get a win against Portugal. Excited to see how it plays out against a desperate Dutch team in a couple days. Would be fun if Denmark can find a way out of that group as well.

As has been noted by lots of people, this is in many ways a better tournament than the World Cup due to the overall depth, historic rivalries in nearly every matchup, etc.

It's also one of my favorite sports events due to giving me something to stream on my computer during work for a month.

The last time Denmark played both Holland and Germany at a European championship was in 1992......

European championships and Copa America are the best tournaments, not a single bad team.

GO LIVERPOOL!!!!!

Does the OP mean the Euro Cup? Or the Champions League or the actual UEFA Cup? I'm confused... and obviously the OP was also when they posted...

England and France had better not sleep on the home team. Big win for Ukraine.

I've been wondering where the futbol threads have been for the past couple of months with league finals happpening...glad to have a new one to post in!

Don't understand how someone said that the overall depth in Euros is better than World Cup, so I'm curious to hear your take on that. Regardless of that, I'm looking forward to some good footballing through June, before the letdown that is the u-23 Olympic product.
