Spent about an hour in the car with the wife and 6 month old.

I now know all about Sammy the Spiders trek from the bathroom to the kitchen.

I concur on the new Japandroids album; I wasn't that into their first one, but this one is already getting a lot of replays from me.

Early '60s George Jones and Buck Owens. Can't explain it but I'm going through a honky tonk phase and can't get enough of it.

Nothing wrong with that. George Jones played rockabilly in the 50s. That is some good **** too.

Don't listen to a word I say. The screams all sound the same.
Though the truth may vary this, ship will cary our, bodies safe to shore.

And now for the kind of stuff that I actively pursue:

Seriously beautiful song here

Little bit more of an RnB vibe on this one:

Not gonna post videos because I doubt many would like, but I've gotten myself quite into Strapping Young Lad. Crazy brutal metal, if you're into that sort of thing. They're not "new" but they're new to me. So good.

Screw it, here's a great song

Not new music, but currently on my playlists --

Mott the Hoople ("Mott" album from '73, and "The Hoople" album from '74)

Classic Johnny Cash (how can anyone not love the original Man In Black?)

Lucinda Williams (alt-country + folk + rock all mixed up together)

Yes with Pink Floyd, for some reason I have been captivated by them recently. Watched "the wall" movie and holy crap that was weird but great soundtrack

Don't listen to anything new. 80% of what I listen to is 80s new wave/synth stuff.
