Hey guys. So my sister and I started band about a month ago, and we've been gaining tons of steam. We were featured on hypems popular list for over a week, and we just heard today that we are one of ten bands that could be in a new microsoft commercial. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of it, thanks guys!

Heres the bandcamp to listen to our first single:

And if you guys want to check out of facebook you can do that too:

The levels get too high in many parts of the first song you posted. That causes clipping and static. Needs quality mastering. What you're going for is relaxing and nice though. Your sister's voice fits well with it.

Again though. Needs better mastering. Synth volume levels get too high in many spots.

Very nice!

Love the sweeping filter pad and synths, not a fan of autotune but well done! What keyboards are you playing? Hardware or Software?

I am not sure how I would approach the drums in that kind of tune but I like that it was under produced rather than getting in the way.

Seriously, your sister has a nice voice don't mess with fads like auto tune, it will just date it.

Plus much respect for actually producing something and getting out there chasing the dream. DEATHSicle has been stuck in deathsICLES basement collecting gear for years rather than making music. Anyone who gets out there and does gets my respect.

Good luck!

Pretty good, man. Though I'm not sure I'd call it a "band" necessarily.

Agree with the necessity to get it mastered, and don't go on the cheap. Quality mastering costs more but it is definitely worth the cost.

Thanks! There is no autotune at all though. the vocals that sound pitched are just bits that i cut up and pitched just to change it up. But i appreciate the thought. Im using abelton 8 with an apc 40, mpk 49, a micro korg, and a roland sp 404. and thanks for all the kind words!

I like, enough that I downloaded the single and hit your page on FB. It's got a really nice ethereal feel to it, reminds me a lot of Goldfrapp, Dido, or Cocteau Twins. For me those are all good sounds, but of course YMMV. :-)

I like it. I enjoy a lot of electronic, bedroom pop stuff and this is right in that wheelhouse. Your sister has very nice voice for it and the song has a pretty good hook. Hope to hear the EP when it comes out!

I'm not really into "electronic" music but that is a pretty broad term as the really creative/talented bands find a way to encompass electronic in some form or fashion. That being said, keep developing your sound and always be willing to take risks!

As a "bedroom" producer myself, I'm also impressed that you are getting something out there! It looks like you are way beyond where I'm at - I think your music has lots of potential.

Not sure how many people wanted a follow up, but we just played at the the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, we have a show in Salt Lake on the 20th and then another show in Denver on the 23rd. Our EP comes out very soon, and we just released a new single called "Hearts Stop". Here is the link for it:

Love it. Never thought I'd hear this sort of thing on the mane let alone from one of our members.

Are you using suite 8 or just 8? Believe it or not I won a copy of PT 10 in a raffle and I'm looking to master with that but use Ableton mostly. My home studio is almost complete.

Your sister sounds a lot like the lead singer of Memoryhouse.

You've got some name competition - http://www.myspace.com/cerulean
