Default Edit - Broncos Turn Down Hard Knocks

Lindsay Rhodes just reported on NFL Total Access that the Broncos have turned down Hard Knocks this year, along with the Redskins, 49ers and the Texans.

Apparently the Jaguars offered to be the team, and were denied.

Not sure if being selected would be a good thing or a bad thing.

I tend to think we should avoid the distraction.

Didn't the Jets make the AFC Championship the year they were on Hard Knocks?

Not sure but I think it was the season after the AFCC and they tanked that season.

NO NO NO NO I love watching it but don't want it to be the Broncos. I think it has to be a huge distraction going into the season.

Oh and HA HA Jaguars

I heard they turned it down outright when they were originally asked? I just can't see Manning allowing a camera to be up his ass for 6 weeks.

Would love to see Redskins.

I would not want the Broncos to be apart of this since it would be too much a distraction IMO. Besides, most people do not act the same as they would knowing there is a camera watching them, so do we really get a true picture of what is going on?

Broncos renewed their interest when league said they would raise their salary cap... Then Bowlen said WTF, no more spending! Elway quickly pointed at Xanders and said it was Brian's fault... And now you know why X was shown the door!

Texans woimuld be a snore job...id love to see the niners followed by broncos...manning story is too big not to be the favorite. I dont think we realize how good this team will be over the next 2-3 yrs.

Kinda like the Vikings of 2008-2009??

Hopefully we're stacked for the future.

The Jets or The Broncos would be the most compelling...

The second tier would begin with Colts - Redskins...

I say no for the Broncos just because I don't want tape to come 3-4 years later of DC JDR wanting the D to "take that guys head off" and that is the "proof" to suspend half the team and take our 1st round pick for nothing.

Were going to be better defensively and have all the same personnel on offense. We wore teams down last year and have every ability to run again this year should manning go down. We just got so much better and deeper this year that the team will be much more impressive although their record might not improve due to the ridiculous schedule.

I agree with you... I'm just saying.

I hope we're thinking long term, but I'm excited about the next 3-4 years.... should be a good time.

The Vikings would have been fine if they got a 36 year old Favre.

Perhaps if the Jags had traded their 3rd round pick to the Broncos for Tebow (instead of keeping it to use on a PUNTER), they would've been a lock for Hard Knocks.

Do not want us on it. As someone said, it would've been interesting to see it last year with the insanity that was Tebowmania, but that probably would've made it worse in terms of divisiveness which is probably why the Jets would not want it either. The Redskins or the Colts with their high profile rookies would be interesting. Peyton is under enough scrutiny without adding this distraction.
