Interesting that the new CBA didn't have much effect on the contracts in the second round. Or I should say this contract compared to others for players drafted in the same spot in earlier years.

Colin Kaepernick - 4 years, $5.22M
Dexter McCluster - 4 years, $5.15M
Brian Robiskie - 4 years, $4.91M

Sure changes getting these guys signed. When I first saw the title I almost thought it was the day before training camp opens.

It only really affected the top 16 of the first round, by limiting contract length and reducing the salaries at the very top.

This kid's come a long way from having no family, and no place to live. Now, poof! He's a millionaire.

I hope he's smart enough to hire a good accountant. I really wish the best for him.

These players need a CFP more than they need a good accountant.

Salary cap is the same as 2011...so basically no change in salaries from 2011 to 2012.

Good news. Wish they'd get rid of that silly graduation rule.

the graduation rule is dumb as hell but it's nice to see him signed early. he needs to be a force on the DL for our defense to improve.

I like it. I just hope these guys are actually graduating and not sitting at home waiting for their lives to start.

It still hasn't really sunk in that we actually drafted a DT high.

Actually there was an article last week that showed Denver kind of ****ed their draft picks out of some pretty hefty coin last season. Probably do the same thing this year

Signing rookies sure is easy now. The way its setup now brings a whole new aspect to the managing side of the game, since every contract is pretty much a 4 yr deal. Should keep the front office on their toes.

I like this pick a lot. Wolfe is a workhorse with the ability to get into the backfield, rare combo. He is someone who needs to be accounted for, and will take a ton of pressure off of the edge rushers
