D'Arnaud has a bright future, I agree. But I was referring to catchers that hadn't exhausted their rookie status.

He's terrible at playing defense and throwing guys out. Only thrown out 19% of base runners to go along with 9 errors and 15 passed balls in only 135 career games. Hitting looks suspect at this point (.302 on base%) although not terrible for a catcher. Seems like a 1.0 WAR player to me.
