While building a "dynasty" would be ideal...it's not as easy to do in this age of the salary cap and free agency. The days of teams winning back to back titles are getting rare.....let alone making it to SB 3 out of 4 years.....

Those teams that are annually in the hunt virtually every season generally have a very good starter at QB.....since it is after all, the most important position. And they do well in signing quality players and drafting future starters too.

While to some it may seem like we got some moderately tolerable FA's to join us.....I think we signed some decent guys who are hungry to win a title possibly 2 over the next 3-4 seasons.

It all comes down to want. A lot of them do not have a long time left in the league. The people we brought in may not be flashy, but the could have everything we need. That is WANT. Want to play as a team, want to help everyone be better, want to be a champion.

We will all see how bad they want it.

Such a wise comment.

Let's see....take Manning out of the picture...and then take a look at what we've done. Not much.

Got a starting TE (Dressen), receiving #2 tight end (Tamme), solid #2 (Porter) and nickel corner (Florence), two slot receivers (Stokley and Caldwell), and some solid depth vets at S (Adams), NT (Bannan), and WR (Hill)

No kidding. Solid acquisitions, and a whole lot of bang in the Manning signing. The draft looks excellent. I get to attend four home games and one pre-season, and I don't think I've anticipated an upcoming season with the excitement of this upcoming campaign in over 11-12 years.
