Bush reminds me of a very young Steve Atwater. He will hit you like a mack truck but also has tremendous range.

I do find him to be quite fake (par for the course of being a college football head coach)....but give him credit for being a heck of a coach.

Arkansas has made a head-coaching offer to LSU's Les Miles, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports, citing a source.

The Razorbacks offered five years, $27.5 million, according to the paper.

Interesting. The Mad Hatter is a funny guy, but I have never thought of him as a particularly brilliant gameday coach or a great recruiter either (rather L$U has used other a$$ets to get good players). I think Butch Davis would be a good coach for Arkansas. He is a good recruiter and is an expert on the 4-3 Over defense, he's also from Arkansas and has long desired the job.

Is there not anything teams can do to lock down coaches or is that just assumed to be a deal-breaker for any decent coach? It sucks to see coaches come in for a couple years then bounce to the next step and leave a growing program with their hands empty.

Louisville is back on the upswing (in general), playing for the conference championship and a BCS bid and they have to deal with rumors that the HC is bailing on them. To go with injured RB, WR, and QB, that's just bull...

making the buyout insanely high is the only option. but in most cases if a school wants them bad enough they will help pay the buyout via boosters.

or you can go the stupid route like Boston College did when Jeff Jagodzinski interviewed for the NY Jets job.
that pride bit them in the ass and they have yet to recover from it.

Lee has no choice(soph). The QB who is replacing Barkley was throwing the ball to Woods in that N.D. game. Woods says the new QB has a stronger arm and is more able to get him the ball. Sounds like he's gonna stay.

Bingo. And the ripple effects will kill the Big East as the ACC backfills with Big East teams. The Big East is basically going to become a hodge-podge of C-USA and maybe even Sunbelt teams.
