I'm really surprised that Sparty has only put up 3 points at home versus Notre Dame early in the 4th quarter.

Lane Kiffin was the wrong hire for SC. He always fields soft teams. Harbaugh built Stanford's lines. They're completely dominating. Especially the defensive line. The NT has owned SC's center all night and Kiffin has no idea what to do about it. Stanford played smash mouth football and SC is just too soft.

Stanford is proving to be an impressive program. They were more than just Harbaugh and Luck—they have athletes on both o-line and d-line that were plain abusing the USC blue chippers all 4th quarter.

One complaint is not enough sideline shots by Fox of stunned Lane Kiffin to satisfy my schadenfreude.

Just seems like a down year in college football. Can't pin point why I feel this way, I just do.

Big Ten conference play is going to be...something. Northwestern looks as likely as anyone to be in the title race.

Yeah. It's tough to figure out who the favorite is in this conference this year. No one team has emerged.

I think Mark Dantonio is a Grade A prick.

Pretty good coach....but a giant prick.

Of course it doesn't help that Sparty has beaten Michigan's ass the last 4 season.

I didn't think they would be this bad, but they did lose their # 1 QB and WR, Great O-Linemen. Also lost many coaches.

The Buffs are a disaster. I don't even know what to think. The whole program is a stinking ruin. They weren't even this bad in the pre-McCartney days.

You'd think he would somehow know in advance that if your top rated center is out and being replaced by a guy who played tackle in high school and is making his first start, and he's going up against a great NT, you're going to need to game plan around it. Put in a full back. Roll out the QB. Play the no huddle. Something. Stanford ate the center up all game long and all Kiffin could do is stand on the sidelines looking like he had **** his pants.

I don't know about "soft", but USC and Barkley in particular have just looked off this whole year. I think part of it is depth. When they lost some guys, especially on the OL, they don't have a full roster there due to the first year of scholie losses, so when you get some injuries, it is real tough. I'm not sure what Barkley's issue is. He doesnt seem quite as sharp this year. I know alot of USC fans down here, when I talked to them about their slow start and the Syracuse game in particular, they said Kiffin teams start slow but get much better as the year goes on. We'll see if thats true, but they already have 1 loss and their title hopes are seriously damaged.
