Thank god Nebraska is in the Big Ten this year. This defense would be helpless in the more offensively competent conferences.

Also sucks that Maher's missed FGs kept this from coming down to the end.

Yeah, true. Really difference was UCLA defense stepping up in the second half--they actually look to have some athletes on the d-line that can disrupt. Plus combination of poor punting and 3 and outs gave UCLA a huge field positions adv throughout.

New season, same story of NU offense being explosive for one half before imploding in the second.

I don't know why you guys kept throwing the ball when it was obvious in the third quarter you were doing very well at the line and getting chunks of yardage through the running game. Anyway, good game!

Can't believe UCLA is 2-0 under Mora jr. Be really great if we can take down the cheaters across town.

Agreed, last few drives when it was still a tie or 2-pt game and I don't think we ran once?

Anyway, congrats on a deserved win. Seem to have some studs on offense and potential on D. Could be a major factor in the Pac 12 very very soon.

So far this season, USC has looked very unimpressive to me. There's an outside chance they could lose at Stanford next week. They played like dog**** today.

What sucks is all these stat padders for Barkley look impressive for his Heisman campaign. 10 TD passes already.
It seems USC has struggled against a lesser opponent, an unlikely opponent most years. I'm thinking this year that might be the @Arizona game.
Also, gotta laugh at the Big 10 this week. Ohio State "struggled", Wisconsin and Nebraska both fell in upsets, Michigan barely squeaked by at home to Air Force(although that team has always been pretty competitive of late with that triple option), Iowa State beat Iowa, Penn State lost to Virginia, Purdue lost, and Illinois is getting killed by Arizona State.

Oh, and also, enjoy getting your asses kicked in the SEC now A&M and Missouri. Glad we found better replacements for your sorry asses.

! You had enough years to do that while they were on probation and UCLA still sucked. That was the fat chance UCLA had at owning LA and failed....well, unless a 6-7 record or whatever it was to get into last year's bowl game was worthy enough for you guys. I am sure that Pac 12 division banner is hanging somewhere on campus. Maybe next to the Vegas Bowl participation trophy.

Your post is misleading and makes it appear as if almost all of the Big Ten teams lost this week.

You didn't mention the Big Ten teams that won easily, albeit against mediocre competition.

Michigan State rolled Central Michigan.
Indiana rolled UMass.
Minnesota rolled New Hampshire.
Northwestern beat Vandy (an SEC team) by 10 points.

You said Ohio State struggled....but they still won by 15 points.

Sure Purdue lost, but it was by 3 points to Notre Dame, who is 22nd ranked.

I'm not saying the Big Ten is all that great this season, because it's pretty weak, but your post made it sound like all of the Big Ten teams got beat down this week.

Oklahoma State closed the gap to 30-28....and then Arizona scored to make it 37-28.

OKSU kicks a FG to make it a 37-31 game at the end of the 3rd quarter.
