Default Faith in humanity restored: cab driver returned my laptop

Got it back from the cabbie. Gave him a bunch of money as a reward (he didn't ask for any). He had his son look up my email and then sent me a message.

Maybe it was the 20 minute commiseration we had about bloomberg's elitism and mousy voice but I think it's more that people are just good.

To those who offered to chip in, while I would never accept, I was genuinely touched and it speaks to the quality of the OM community, even if we are all know it all drama queen douchnozzles.

Now, to find John Galt's doorstep so I can **** on it

good news. i think the whole "my little pony" theme probably made it unsellable to the cabbie. very smart of you.

Exactly what I said on your other thread. Cab driver called my last number on my phone list when I left it. Looks like they were smart to check the email.

Congrats.

I would've accepted. Also, I would have made you accept a gift if we all pitched in.
