Here's a Case of 'Trayvon Justice'

How do some people make their feelings known about the shooting of Trayvon Martin by neighborhood-watch patrolman George Zimmerman. Do they wait for a verdict? Do they hear all the evidence? No. They take matters into their own hands and beat an innocent person to a pulp. In this case, Matthew Owens is the victim, and the "justice" being served by his attacks should land them all in jail for a very long time.

As reported by News 5 in Mobile, Alabama, Owens was driving home when a group of kids was playing basketball in the middle of the street at around 8:30 in the evening. Owens "fussed" at them, and they dispersed. However, a group of adults came back and reportedly beat Owens with "everything but the kitchen sink."

So this is "justice for Trayvon"? Are you kidding me? What did this man do? I'm sure more facts will come out soon, but there have been no reports at all that Owens resorted to any form of violence. Yet he is met with paint cans, metal polls, and chairs

This is exactly what happens when society caves in to hype and trial by media. As GOPUSA noted yesterday, the fact that George Zimmerman was released on bail set off a firestorm on Twitter.

How about if we wait until there is an actual trial? There is no "justice" in beating an innocent man senseless. But as long as the left and the media are fixated on pitting ethnic group against ethnic group, we will continue to have these problems.

I think the broader issue is that this issue is being used to intentionally create division, its a sad thing on all sides, for all Americans.
