Would u take him if he fell to #25? Ayers could kick inside on passing downs, which could be nasty, though I've heard alot of negativity about his attitude and work ethic, is it worth it? Discuss!

if he fell to #25 and we took him i would get down on my hands and knees and thank the good lord until people thought i was having a severe medical issue.
that's too much talent to pass up on, this is a guy who has top 5 talent and potential.

I have to admit, I'd be all for it, I'm a big believer u take the best player available regardless of position, rather than reaching to try and fill a need

If between Jones and Couples, I'm going Jones 10 out 10 times. I think Jones is the DE that fans are going to be whining about missing out on.

If a guy doesn't play hard as a college kid who is broke, how will he play with millions in the account? I'll take a guy with a little less talent who plays hard every down.

yeah but Jones can potentially fall to the 2nd round. i like him a lot and his bloodlines say he definitely won't disappoint, but value vs value if Coples is at #25 you take him hands down no question asked cause if you play your cards right you can end up with both.

also, Coples is the type you can potentially slide inside to play DT with another 10 lbs added on or so. imagine having Von,Ayers,Coples,Warren and Doom as your front 5(we all know Von is coming like a DE on passing downs)

that's easy, i then run up to the podium and announce Kate Upton as my first round pick. cause that's a fantasy draft.
Coples could actually fall that far, Luck is not gonna fall past #1.

definitely could happen but I would pass on him unless it were to play DT he played DT nicely his junior year tho at times. If we took him and kept Ayers as the starter at LE and gave coples the 3 techn DT spot. It be interesting to say the least.

He didn't play any DT last season and was mediocre.

Height: 6-6 Weight: 284 if hes at 25 I say **** it play him at DT since we plan to be a pass rushing team w/ the lead in 2012.

I don't care what position we draft in the first just get a game changer and an impact player to help the team this year.

Interesting. I just did a quick look into Chandler Jones. I've been hearing his name more and more on the Draft Preview Shows. I've not seen him play... only a couple clips on the shows. I'm not impressed with his athleticism. Kind of slow and his production isn't great.

What I find the most interesting about him is his blood lines. A brother that plays for the Ravens but even more noteworthy, he is Jon "Bones" Jones (UFC Champion and arguably the best pound for pound fighter in the world) brother as well. For those that don't know Jon Bones Jones, he is incredibly remarkable with regard to character, work ethic, and natural ability. Assuming the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, Chandler Jones will most likely be successful in the NFL.

All that aside, if I'm forced bewteen Jones and Coples, HELLO COPLES!!!

I don't think we'll have to worry about making that decision though. Way too much potential with better than average size for a RDE. 6'5 285 and running a 4.75, Come'on. Plus he has a lot better production when compared to Jones.

Coples is a much bigger prospect. Quinn was smaller, but much quicker and agile. Coples can't bend and get around the edge like Quinn could. Quinn was the only guy in the draft that was similar to Von Miller in that regard. They both have the ability to get extremely low and turn the corner... Coples isn't close.

if this did happen id be heart broken. i love robert ayers and he plays a big role in run stopping for this team but if we got coples we'd have to start him and kick him to DT on 3rd downs

he probably meant 2.0 in terms of people having issues with his long term potential. Quinn was considered a top 5 talent but teams were leary and he dropped a bit because of it. now those teams that passed on him don't look too smart. he looks to be a future player on that Rams team.

Mayock's take on Coples was really interesting. He was saying he wouldn't take him in the first two rounds if he was just drafting on tape or something like that. I guess his film from the senior year is really bad. That said, both guys are going to be gone so this is probably pointless.

it's well known he was not happy about the way they asked him to play last season. and if you watch the tape it shows in a big way, he is not happy and wanted to play like he did the season before.

I saw an interview with Coples on NFLN a couple of days ago and believe me, he was stoned. He could barely keep his eyes open. He was slurring his speech. Add in the rumors that he's lazy and is a one year wonder? I wouldn't touch that guy.

I tend to think he is the most overrated DE in the draft.
